About A Slice of New York

NY pizza is now available in Silicon Valley! ASONY is the first brick-and-mortar business in the South Bay to become a worker cooperative (a worker-owned business).

Back in 1998, I moved from NYC to San Jose to work at a big hi-tech company. Little did I know just how much I was going to miss my daily dose of za! Whenever anyone asked me what I missed most about New York, I would always say "A Slice!" The more I said it, the more I knew one day I would open my own New York pizza joint. I hope this also brings a slice of home to other transplanted New Yorkers!

So far I've only tried the A Slice of New York *ASONY Margarita* pizza. Absolutely good. I love the chunks of garlic on the pizza. The garlic is soft when you bite into it. The garlic tastes naturally slightly sweet with no "bite" from the gsrlic at all. However they make it, it truly is that good! Highly recommend. When I go I get a whole pie! Edit:* I ment to say I really enjoy how soft the garlic is it's not a bad thing at all because it's cooked to perfection! Thank you so much for the response back

We drove 40 mins to try this pizza joint and it was delicious!!! Definitely lived up to the hype! It tasted like NY pizza, crispy and yummy! We had the Margarita pizza and the garlic oil base was to die for! The staff is so kind, welcoming and friendly! They treated us to some Canoli's from NY and they were soooo good! Must try! Awesome neighborhood eatery and you can tell the staff love what they do ❤️ Highly recommend and definitely coming back!!!

I love a New York style pizza. It was a perfect stop to get a variety of slices for lunch. It ranged from $6-7/slice. Our fave was the pepperoni/mushroom, with the pesto / marinara in 2nd. A little gruff at the register, but eh, it's takeout. Bonus was getting a free soda for every 2 slices. Parking can be difficult, so bring a friend.

I love thin crust New York style pizza! They also offer thick crust with plenty of garlic sauce around the edges, which I have tried thanks to my niece. They also have Calzones and garlic knots, all very good. (Side story), I once met Cain Velasquez, the UFC fighter here too. This place is dear and near to me. I love the variety as well, one of my favorites is the Margherita and the Pepperoni with Jalapeño.
