Sarah Scott was my admission counselor. Within just a few minutes of meeting I experienced the most bizarre ableism. She stated her agenda for the meeting and turned it back to me to ask if that was ok. I took that opportunity to mention time to respond to some specifics I emailed her about. And then she used terms like β€œhostile” and β€œcontentious” to suggest that the my connotation of my inquiry and got super defensive and started explaining to me how busy she is and stated that she doesn’t β€œwant to be put in a position that she’s backed into a corner.” I don’t appreciate the ableism and twist of narrative for literally asking a normal question when she literally offered me the opportunity to check in with the agenda of the meeting before proceeding. No where did I come at her. This is absolutely offensive and the definition of ableism to suggest my tone of voice or facial expressions connoted any level of hostility off of a few minutes of meeting. I am literally neurodivergent and this is the definition of ableism. Please understand I have had many counselor meetings across other advisors with other universities and never in my life have I had such an offensive inappropriate r

I thoroughly appreciate the social-justice focus at this school. It reaches a level that most institutions barely graze. That being said, they are wildly disorganized and rarely there to support you when their disorganization costs you time and money. On several occasions, their inability to function as an actual solidified institution has made my life, and the lives of my peers, unnecessarily difficult. In fact, I’ve often been met with rude responses when asking for support. I would absolutely NOT recommend this school to anyone, despite how much I appreciate their curriculum. You are much better off enrolling in a more stable and greater recognized institution, such as Pepperdine or CSUN. I wish I had done the same.

Please listen to the negative reviews. I ignored it and I wish I did not and they are not what they preach to be. Be AWARE of their lies if you have any questions let me know and If I could give this school a -300 star rating, I would. After finishing my undergraduate degree, I entered Antioch University’s Clinical Psychology program with a specialization in Spiritual and Depth Psychology. I was young, hopeful, and trusting, drawn to Antioch because of its stated commitment to healing, inclusivity, and social justice. Those values aligned perfectly with mine. I came in excited and ready to grow. But what I experienced was the opposite. The support I was promised never existed. I was given only Google Voice typing as an accommodation, which did not meet my needs. When I explained that I could not type or write due to my disability, they accused me of asking for too much and blamed me for struggling. I was placed in the position of having to email constantly through severe hand and wrist pain. I begged for temporary support until I could hire a personal assistantβ€”something that should have been easily granted. They refused. Eventually, friends had to volunteer to type for me. On

I LOVE Antioch! This was the best College experience of my life! I went to College of Marin, and U.C.Davis, and this was by far, my favorite college. The teachers are all awesome, and passionate about their subjects, and they pass their enthusiasm to the students. I feel like I really learned and worked hard to receive a valuable university level of education. I'm so glad that I chose Antioch, and if I had to choose again, I would keep on choosing Antioch!
