OPENING AUGUST 16, 2023 - Established as Los Angeles’ best Korean barbecue chain and famously listed as one of 101 Best Restaurants by the legendary Jonathan Gold, LA Times restaurant food critic Baekjeong Korean BBQ arrives in San Jose, California at Valley Fair Mall this spring.
Baekjeong San Jose is an asian restaurant in Santa Clara, California. It is listed at 2855 Stevens Creek Blvd #1808, Santa Clara, CA 95050, which places it among the local businesses of Santa Clara that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, how long is the wait at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. American restaurants typically run lunch and dinner services with a quieter stretch in between, coffee shops open early, and many kitchens close earlier on Sunday. Cards and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere, a tip of 15-20% is customary for table service, and sales tax is added at the register.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (650) 910-6328. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, baekjeongkbbq.com.
Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 1,058 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

The restaurant is a high end Korean BBQ restaurant. The service is excellent. The staff will cook for you. The side dish is delicious. But i am disappointed on the meat. Too much fat. There is not much meat left to eat after grilling. My stomach feels very full due to the grease although I didn’t eat much. The reservation is a joke. After you arrived on time, you need to wait again for more than half hour. The business is very good.

I would say this location is my favorite one to go to. It can get a bit busy but the experience I really enjoy. I usually have. A reservation so not that much lineup. This is a Korean barbecue place so I usually get the set experience as it comes with soup. It is a little much for two people but it is really tasty. There are a lot of sides you get as well they are pretty good. The meat seasoning and marinade is tasty. On the grill you get corn cheese and egg; which goes well with rice and meat. They grill the meat for you as well which is na nice experience. Overall I enjoy eating here.

Baekjeong is located at the Westfield Mall next to Santana Row as a stand alone building outside. It appears there is no available elevator at this time so please note for those that cannot climb a flight of stairs or if you have small children. Even with an early reservation, we were asked to wait with no particular sense of urgency. After nearly 10 minutes, we were taken to the many open tables. While we were off to a rocky start, things quickly improved. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful to those of us that were new to the Korean bbq dining process. For the uninitiated, you will come to the table full of small dishes of dipping sauces, pickled vegetables, rice paper sheets, and already cooking on the grill, corn and cheese. This is all included as a part of any meal. Our waiter recommended we order one of the combos so we got a small marinated meats combo and then we added on the eight piece fried dumplings. Holy moley, was that a lot of food! For two people, we definitely didn’t need the fried dumplings but they were delicious. They say a small combo is good for 2-3 people. I’d say more 3-4, unless you’re feeding bottomless-pit teenagers. Needless to say, a lot of fo

Overall the meat here was tasty and the service was good! We asked the server if he recommended the beef belly or brisket and he said it depends on the cut they have that day and actually went to check for us! Boneless short rib and ribeye were great too. Pork belly was good, large intestine was good if you already know you enjoy it. The banchan was alright, nothing to write home about. But I definitely recommend eating the meat with wasabi and salt at any BBQ place you go to, it's a super good combo!

Good quality meat and banchans. The kimchi stew on the side was also very good. It’s usually pretty busy so try to reserve ahead of time. Pretty pricey for what you get though, especially quantity wise, but a decent alternative if you’re craving kbbq and don’t want to stink up your place.
