If you plan to dine here, extremely cautious when ordering wine from the sommelier！！ Food at Bestia is undeniably good, but their wine presentation and customer service leave a lot to be desired. During our visit, the wines were displayed in a line ( picture 1) . We started with a first bottle priced around $60+.( picture 2 ) When it came time for a second bottle, the restaurant was incredibly noisy. We asked for the white Burgundy he showed to us and then he verbally mentioned the price—however, he spoke so softly in the loud environment that it was almost impossible to hear. Crucially, the sommelier never handed us a physical wine menu to verify the price. When the bill arrived, we were shocked to find that the second bottle (a white Burgundy) was charged at $650. While Burgundy can be expensive, this mark-up is beyond reason—online retail for the exact bottle is around €280, yet Bestia marks it up to $650. When we emailed Bestia privately after returning home—simply suggesting that they improve their process by showing guests a physical menu, especially in such a noisy setting—their response was condescending and dismissive. Bestia is a must-visit every time I’m in Los Angeles. It’s one of my favorite Italian restaurants, and the quality has been consistently outstanding on every visit. The food is always creative, flavorful, and beautifully executed. Their wood-fired pizzas are incredibly thin and perfectly crisp. My favorite dish is the bone marrow appetizer—it’s something I order almost every time. They also have a strong wine list, which is great if you enjoy pairing wine with your meal. One thing I appreciate is that when ordering wine by the glass, the sommelier is willing to bring one or two samples for guests to taste before deciding. However, I wish there had been a little more explanation behind the recommendations. Since we were ordering glass by glass and pairing wines with different dishes, it would have been helpful to hear why those specific wines were suggested and how they would complement the food we ordered. For guests like me who enjoy learning about food and wine pairing but are not wine professionals, that extra guidance would make the experience even better. What an amazing meal! Spectacular food, impeccable service!! It's very trendy and loud so a word to us old folks - request a table on the outside front patio. We were seated on the terrace and our party had to yell to be heard. But aside from the din, our meal was exceptional!! While everything was fabulous, we all agreed the Corn Agnolotti was stand-out sublime (4th photo) Don't miss it!!

Bestia continues to live up to the hype. Every dish we ordered was excellent and packed with flavor. It’s one of those places where there really wasn’t a weak item on the table. The atmosphere is amazing—energetic, lively, and perfect for a night out. The service was top notch from start to finish. Everyone on the staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the entire meal. This is a great restaurant to visit with a small group so you can share multiple dishes and experience more of the menu. Between the food, service, and atmosphere, it’s easy to see why Bestia remains one of the standout dining spots in Downtown LA. I’d happily come back again

One of my favorite L.A. spots. The bone marrow spinach gnocchetti is out of this world. I've never had a bad meal here. I always get my own bone marrow, no sharing that one. The mushroom and Guanciale pizza is insane!
