If you want a good Vietnamese style coffee and you don’t want to be disappointed. This is the place for you. It is really good and very convenient to grab a coffee while waiting for breakfast at Madi! And the staff is super friendly and helpful! Would highly recommend!

Just tried the SaiGon Sunrise Cà Phê from Boba Monkey and it was such a treat. Smooth, bold Vietnamese-style coffee with the perfect touch of sweetness and ice - also super refreshing and packed with flavor. It felt unique and thoughtfully made, and the stand itself has a really cute vibe. Granted, I’m usually not a big boba tea person. It turns out I don’t really enjoy having balls in my mouth while I’m trying to drink something, but I can definitely get down with the iced Vietnamese coffee 😋 If you’re out for a walk and want something a little different from your usual coffee run, Boba Monkey is definitely worth stopping by.

This boba shop is my absolute favorite in San Diego. The kiosk is always clean and well-maintained. The workers are genuine, and they're sweet and friendly. There are a variety of strawberry drinks, which are my favorite when it comes to boba (pictured is the strawberry refresher, which is mojito inspired). I especially love their strawberry matcha, and the banana coffee -- if you like banana, I especially recommend that one! The drinks are so fruity and taste amazing, with ube, banana, taro, and strawberry variations on each type. There's alternative milks, too. Its hard to not walk over every day lol! With the wide variety of drinks and boba options, there's always something new to try. Its a treat to have Boba Monkey in the neighborhood. I've taken many friends here by now, since its open from noon til 6 pm. We can swing by and get a drink before we head out to Kensington, the Art Walk on Adams, the monthly swap-meets down the block, and everything in-between. If you're in the neighborhood, give it a try! You can mix and match toppings for extra tasty combinations. I highly recommend!
