Salons, spas and fitness studios in the United States are usually best booked ahead, especially for evenings and Saturdays. Agree on the service and price before you start, ask which products are used, and check hygiene on arrival. A tip of 15-20% is customary for salon and spa services. Reviews that describe a specific treatment are the most reliable guide. San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Diego follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I have had an excellent experience with this gym over the past couple of months. The staff at the front desk are always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The facilities and locker rooms are consistently clean, and although the gym is somewhat small, it never seemed to get too crowded. It is in a very convenient location in Downtown San Diego, with great views. I primarily used the rooftop pool, which has three lanes (can accommodate six people) and is maintained well.

I only used the pool, but it was always a great experience. The online booking system works well & it was rarely crowded & always clean. I will miss the days swimming in the sun

Broadway has to be the best gym in downtown San Diego. The views from the pool and rooftop weight area are spectacular. I typically work from their patio tables outside on Fridays. Quite tough to beat. The staff is super friendly and always making sure everything is clean. I’ve trained here for a few triathlons and they have everything you need plus recovery machines. Almost forgot to mention the sauna. It is the best one I’ve been in. Always clean, never crowded, and actually gets hot unlike commercial gyms. Plenty of towels available too. I’m trying to think of negative things to say but I don’t think there are any!

In SD, there are a couple of rooftop clubs that have a great view, but Broadway Athletic take in the best views. Situated at the top of the irvine building. You'll have many flexible pricing options, and in retrospect, very good deal for the facilities! Over the years I've met many of our great staffers at BASC, and they make checkin and maintenance of the facilities their priority. Working with the staff is nothing but smooth. On to their equipment, I can say they have made improvements over time. You have the basics inside, and basics on the outside. There is classes for yoga, swim, and training. I would like to see newer equipment for most of the equipment, there are definitely equipment for specific muscle targeting like pelvis, traps, glutes, etc that would benefit the gym. The age of the equipment is decent like 2010's technology, hopefully some investments in updating in the pipeline! Thank you team BASC! Will be coming back again

I’m convinced this is the best gym in San Diego. Great selection of equipment, doesn’t get over crowded, convenient location, and has some of the best views. It’s amazing to come here after work to workout while staring out at the city, it’s like a rooftop sanctuary. I’ve toured nearly every gym in the downtown area and Broadway Athletic Club is still #1 in my list. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
