Beautiful campus. Breaks my heart that they have to close the school and sell the campus to Vanderbilt university. The last remaining private art college in San Francisco, one that has been here for over 100 years.

Private art college in a safe part of San Francisco (though yes, take caution walking around the areas to the W/NW below the freeways). The Mission, SOMA, and Mission Bay are all walkable and there's a shuttle to Downtown. The studio facilities and the library are very friendly and I love how critiques are open at The Nave. Campus events are centered on Wednesday evenings--the shows are always interesting.

I was disappointed to see that in one of this college’s graduation projects, students featured several companies without properly verifying the information. As a result, the final report included misleading or inaccurate details about those companies. What’s more concerning is that the supervising teacher, Jess (Yun Tien) Wen, not only approved the project but even shared it publicly on LinkedIn, despite the factual inaccuracies. This reflects a serious lapse in academic integrity and responsibility - from both the students and the teacher. When educators fail to emphasize ethics, research standards, and accountability, students graduate without the critical skills or mindset needed in the real world. And when new graduates struggle to find jobs or face rejection for poor professional standards, it’s often a reflection of what they were - or weren’t - taught. Teachers play a major role in shaping employable, trustworthy graduates, and negligence in academic guidance directly contributes to that failure.

I had to transfer here for a year due to personal reasons but that year was all I needed to realize this place is not very welcoming. While there is a few nice people for sure, I never really found my people, not welcoming to commuters and honestly speaking for myself, it was so hard to click with people here, a lot think too highly of themselves and have cliques. Felt like high school when it’s supposed to be a more professional level. The environment made me feel like I didn’t belonged there and honestly as I mentioned earlier, not worth it for commuters if you don’t live in the city. Teachers are hit or miss, for one of my figure drawing classes I legit didn’t learn anything as everything was too fast and while I understand that approach, the professor didn’t rlly seem engaged and definitely hold something against Latino students as a classmate and I who are both Mexican noticed how different she would treat us compared to other people, which made me hate that class and I really did not enjoy it. I since then transferred and the difference is abysmal, while there will always be prejudice against Hispanics in every institution, the difference is huge and actually people in my maj

Not worth the the money. Expensive, dorms are dirty. More interested in charging you for services than teaching. I should have gone to Sci Arc! Mistreat Handicap people. The facility is not well equipped for wheel chairs. A very anti Jewish vibe. Administration threatened all professors about speaking against anti Jewish sentiment.
