I had a horrible experience thanks to the manager Cathy of all people. My buddy and I showed up hungry. We sat at a booth in the bar and the bartender gave us service, and took our drink order and then our food order. She brought us our salads beans and bread. After a while it was time for our main courses. My buddy thought the steaks were over priced so he ordered a burger and I ordered the ribeye with a melted blue cheese topper. A woman brought us our food and Johnny immediately asked her for a knife and some mayo, she placed my plate in front of me and went to get Johnny his mayo and knife and she seemed a little put out that he asked but no big deal. Then I noticed that my $43 dollar steak was not only skinny which whatever I was still ready to devour it, but I noticed it didn't have my melted blue cheese topper that was going to cost me even more, wasn't there. So when came back with the mayo and knife I told her that I had ordered a melted blue cheese topper with my steak. She said she would be right back with some blue cheese, I told her that I'd like it to be melted on my steak and she argued with me saying that it'll be melted in the plastic ramekin when she brings it to

I recently moved back into town and ordered three sides for dinner through Cool Hand Luke's website: 1) mixed vegetables, 2) grilled asparagus and 3) mashed potatoes. The prices seemed pretty high for one side, so I called to verify how big the sides were and if they'd be enough for 4 people. The phone rang for about 2 minutes and no one answered. I still ordered online since I needed to pick up on the way home. After I picked up the food, I got into my car and realized that the total on the receipt from the restaurant was half of the total for the online order (see photos). Either Door Dash or the restaurant is making a huge profit off unsuspecting customers. In addition to that, the amount of food was way less than expected for a separately ordered side (see photos). I wrote feedback about this last week through the link in the email receipt and never heard back. I used to love Cool Hand Luke's, but unfortunately will never order from them again. I wouldn't have had an issue if the portions were reasonable for an $8 mixed vegetable or $12 grilled asparagus order, but the photos clearly show that the portions were unacceptable at this price point. Very prepackaged steakhouse. Giving off sizzler vibes. Like eating in a movie set of an old west movie. The food is mediocre. I have a feeling a lot of it is pulled out of the walking freezer and just defrosted. The broccoli was over cook. The steak was fine. Drinks are large.

This place is really nice. Large Booth tables. I wish I would have taken more photos inside the restaurant. It has good lighting. Low volume on the noise, so it's easy to carry a conversation. The staff were great and funny. I ordered a New York steak and chicken breast. I'm on the carnivore diet so can't have sauces and or sugars let alone any vegetables. Food was delicious. I will definitely be returning next time I am in the area. Thank you for a great experience and exceptional customer service!

Always loved this place. Thankfully after 8yrs in Alaska I came back and it's still one of my favorites. Sizzling steak bites and flat iron bread pudding. Excellent!!
