Buyer Beware!!! Costco constantly sells old, spoiled food from their cold section. I’d advise anyone who is planning on purchasing their food from Costco to check all of your precooked and frozen food before taking it home. Angelica, the “Refund Manager” was extremely condescending and unwilling to help. She shouldn’t be in a managerial role. The purchase was made 07/01/2026 at the San Francisco store. Photos were taken 30 minutes after purchase was made.

I’ve been shopping at Costco Wholesale for many years, and it remains my go-to spot in the city for stocking up on essentials. While this location is smaller than many suburban Costco warehouses around the Bay Area, it has the key advantage of being the only Costco in San Francisco itself. This saves me a long drive and makes it especially convenient for city residents. The store is generally well-organized, clean, and consistently stocked with the core items I depend on. Although the selection might be slightly more limited compared to larger locations, I've rarely had trouble finding what I need. Parking is available in the attached garage, which is a major plus in this part of the city, although it can fill up quickly during peak hours. Like most urban Costcos, this location can get very busy, especially on weekends, holidays, and late afternoons. If you shop earlier in the day or during off-peak hours, the experience tends to be much more relaxed and efficient. With a bit of timing strategy, this Costco offers a consistently positive shopping experience and remains a practical, dependable option for city living.

Costco anywhere you go is an amazing place. This store is right in the middle of San Francisco. A nice parking garage is located exactly next to the entrance so the parking and shopping is almost seamless. Even though its hustle and bustle on the inside,this place still feels as though its not that crowded at times. Where you feel the crowds are at the checkout lines and the food court area. One thing I love about this locations costco is that it has a self checkout line,which not all costcos have. For the produce,food,and products; well its a costco,its hard to beat them on prices.

Needs more bike parking. Love the $1.50 hotdog and water combo. Great deals on Asian skincare. Please keep stocking the Sports Research fish oil
