writing I had a great experience shopping here. I originally came in to buy sausage, and I was really impressed by both the quality of the products and the level of customer service. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. They took the time to answer all my questions patiently, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. It’s clear they know their products well and genuinely care about helping customers find exactly what they need. There was also a fantastic variety of options to choose from, which made it easy to find something that suited my taste. Overall, the combination of excellent selection and outstanding customer care makes this a place I’ll definitely return to. Highly recommended

While it products are beautifully presented the reality comes when you buy them. I bought sausages and smoked ribs. Brought them home and wanted to dine with my family but when the pack opened the smell of rotten meat stroke immediately. Same for the smoked ribs. They got to the trash and we will never visit that store again!

We get our suckling pig here annually for our pig roast and quality is excellent. They always prep if for us so that it is ready to go straight into the caja china. Fair pricing and attentive service.

8/19/25 Dittmer’s Gourmet Meats & Wurst-Haus 4540 El Camino Real Los Altos, CA 94022 I went on a Tuesday about 3:30 PM to browse their selections and buy some sausages. It's on the west end of the Village Court Plaza in Los Altos at San Antonio and ECR, so lots of parking. They also have a small dine in area and outside on the walkway for their deli sandwich selections. There was no wait at the counter when I was there. They have an extensive selection of fresh sausages at the counter, packed and refrigerated sausages and meats and frozen items, even game. I got a couple fresh Polish and Hot Link sausages to take home. Both had dense finely ground meat with slightly tough casings. The Polish was mostly seasoned with pepper and not very spicy, I long for the cheap good old Costco food court Polish Dog. The Hot Link was spicy and very good. I would prefer a less tough casing for both. I was happy with the flavor of both and can't wait to try some other selections. I will repeat.

Dittmer's Gourmet Meats and Wurst Haus in Los Altos is a true gem! Their fresh meats are top-notch, and the beef tongue is a rare find. Plus, the convenience of free parking outside is a bonus. Great selection of different kind of sausages and German products. A must-visit for meat enthusiasts!
