Hiring a contractor or service provider in the United States works best with a clear brief: describe the job, ask for a written estimate, agree on timing and payment stages, and confirm who supplies materials. Licensed trades such as plumbers, electricians and HVAC technicians must hold a state or city license and carry insurance; ask for the license number and proof of coverage before substantial work. Get two or three estimates for larger jobs. For professional services such as legal, accounting or immigration work, ask about credentials, bar or CPA licenses and previous clients.

This place has terrible customer service and poor organization. I attended a memorial service and ordered flowers to be delivered to the funeral home. The flowers arrived 20 minutes before the service began. However, the flowers were never set up or displayed during the memorial service. After I asked, I was told the flowers were in the back office and would be delivered to the cemetery, which didn't make sense to me. I later spoke with the manager, Dina, to express my frustration. Instead of taking responsibility, she made up an unbelievable story, first claiming the flowers arrived after the service had started, and then claiming the delivery person upset a family member, resulting in the delivery person being escorted out. None of that ever happened. I was there when they delivered the flowers to the building, and I spoke to the driver afterward. I spoke to the family, and they never had an interaction with the driver. This experience added unnecessary stress and disappointment during an already difficult and emotional day.

Ms. Susie was very compassionate and showed she cared about our loved one. She paid attention to the music we played during our visitation and took it upon herself to lay him to rest with the music he loved when we couldnβt be there. Ms. Susie is thorough and professional making the business end of things easy to deal with. Communication is great and the updated facility is beautiful.

Cindy was very helpful and patient with our family. She took her time to explain everything and understood what we were looking for. She went up and beyond for us and making sure we had very little to worry about. They did not rush us out the day of the service or make us buy things that didnt suit our needs. Hope to never need to use her again but would if need be

Had a pre-needβ¦ I was given the run-a-round They would not assist me with the burial - I had to send the body from Los Angeles to Houston/ when I was told Dignity bought out contracts throughout the United States years ago and they would honor all contracts. It is sad when companies takes most advantages on the hurting after such a great lost (opportunity for increased wealth). So, remember this is a business, only. Then, I had to call around for the death certificates- they never called me once they received them. Signed π’

My family and I would not have been able to get through every detail required for our aunt's funeral, had it not been for Susie. Talk about impeccable service! Susie exuded consistent communication, timeliness, professionalism, and most of all - displaying a much-welcomed level of empathy and understanding at a time when we needed it the most. Susie and her team at Gates Kingsley & Gates, provide funeral services with quality, kindness and patience for families who are navigating through a tender moment - planning (in great detail) for their loved ones final resting place. Susie's team was amazing, but my thanks goes to her directly. I cannot say enough about her and how she was able to set our minds and hearts at ease. In a time where customer service is not practiced or valued enough, Susie was exemplary and went above and beyond. Our experience was flawless, and my aunt's services were treated with the utmost dignity and respect. I cannot recommend Susie and her team enough! Thank you for making this incredibly hard time so much easier for my family and I.

Gates, Kingsley and Gates was absolutely great with handing my father! Unfortunately due to wildfires and holidays everything was delayed a while but this was out of their control. Everything was handled beautifully and Krystal was phenomenal! Even while being evacuated from her home due to wildfires, she was still there for me. I will forever be grateful for their services and how lovely they were during the entire process. I would definitely recommend them for anyone needing assistance with losing a loved one.

I can't even express my appreciation or gratitude enough for Lexi. Whoever the owner is please make sure you know how much of an amazing person she is and that you are lucky to have her. My father recently passed 2 weeks ago and we trusted him with Lexi. She has not disappointed. With my busy schedule Lexi offered to go out of her way to meet me after hours to get me my dad. She understood how important it is to me to bring him home. It's been a long 4 months. Her compassion has touched my heart and I know my dad would be thankful whenever he is.
