Adrian’s strengths are that he pays attention to the small details. After growing my hair for 2 years I researched local barbers around the Bay, Santa Clara, and San Jose area and eventually came to realize he was the barber whom I would have cut my hair. It was a tough choice but his accolades stood to attest to his experience. Sure enough…he delivered the exact haircut I asked for. Delivered with precision. I highly recommend Adrian for your haircut. 🤙🏽

I went there for a medium length haircut and Jose was the barber. I showed him what I wanted with pictures of myself with a previous haircut I got there that I loved, it was done by Janeth at the time and she was not available. I tried to give Jose an opportunity since I needed a haircut, otherwise I would have waited for Janeth. When I explained Jose what I wanted, I think he was high (I could smell it), and didn't seem to understand what I wanted and I really hated the haircut. What really annoys me is that if he didn't know how to do it, he could have said so and at the time, I didn't say much at the time since my hair is wavy and it usually looks weird when I use the wrong products. This is why I didn't say anything to the barber... Which he didn't seem to under anyways because again, he seemed kind of distracted. After trying to contact the site to see if I could get a fix, I decided to give this review because of the lack of response which only makes it worse. Edit: just got contacted by them after sending them another private message. They said they will fix it and hope it goes well. Edit 2: got my haircut fixed by Janeth and she didn't disappoint. This was my first visit, and there were both positive and negative aspects to my experience. I arrived late to my appointment due to heavy World Cup traffic and difficulty finding parking. Despite my delay, the team still accommodated me, which I genuinely appreciated. They did inform me that, because of the shortened appointment time, they might not be able to complete all the services I had originally booked, which I completely understood. The barber started by asking what I wanted and discussed the length for the sides and top of my hair. However, beyond that initial conversation, there was very little communication throughout the service. As the haircut progressed, it felt rushed and somewhat rough at times. The most concerning part was during the beard trim. The barber accidentally cut my lip, causing it to bleed. I had to stop the service and ask for tissue to manage the bleeding. To his credit, he apologized, and I understand that mistakes can happen. However, for a service that costs around $100, I would expect a greater level of care and attention. If time was limited, I would have preferred that certain services not be performed rather than being rushed. I was also di

Being from Hawaii, I already have a go-to barber, but since I’m out in the Bay Area I decided to try Gents Barber in San Jose and booked with Alexander Castellanos. Easily one of the best cuts I’ve had, exceptional from start to finish. His attention to detail and precision really show he knows his craft. If I were to move to California, he’d definitely be my regular. Left the chair looking fresh. I left with a very clean, sharp, and well-executed cut. Highly recommended Alexander for anyone looking for quality service.
