Our waitress Violeta was exceptional. She was quick, detailed and made our first dine experience excellent as we celebrated our son's birthday. We sample the 4 traditional moles from the region. Oaxaca cuisine is delicious. Staff was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was vibrant and festive. We requested the songs in the videos. I love the live music. I can't wait to go back again and order other Oaxaca cuisine. I also purchased mole negro to make at home. Thank you for everything and for making my son's birthday special. The band sang to him and they do it to everyone who tells their waiter. Just an amazing restaurant. Beautiful decor. Indoor and outdoor seating. Valet parking for 7 dollars. Highly recommend. Just makes me want to visit Oaxaca, Mexico.

1st time here, 5/30/26 My buddy has been raving about this restaurant for years, and well, he finally took me for my bday. And I must say - wow, wow wow!! I'm hooked. Not only was the mole delicious, but the atmosphere of the location and a live band every weekend, this place went above and beyond my expectations. I'll definitely be back many times over.

Went with a large group for a celebratory dinner. Food was great (H and I got the 2 person molé sampler platter. It was perfect for 2 people. Could probably feed at 3 people off of it) Service was good, but a little slow. They were super busy, so...kind of to be expected. I just point it out. I also got the Oaxaca Old Fashioned. It was an interesting twist on the classic Old Fashioned made with tequila and mezcal. Super boozy but good. O knocked down the atmosphere a couple of notches because the unexpected live music made it *really* hard to have conversations at the table.

Very fun atmosphere, homie feeling. Food is decent, nothing extraordinary but I will give the sweet mole a very good review because that was great! Try the chapulines if you're brave enough. The service was lack luster, had to flag someone down just for water, for the price you're paying you should be checked on more often. I most likely wouldn't return but it was fun to try out. I recommend ordering a few different plates and sharing them as a family.

Guelaguetza offers a lively introduction to Oaxacan cuisine in a large, energetic setting. The space is big, the atmosphere is loud and festive, and the live music adds to the experience. Service was quick and efficient, which we appreciated. One of the highlights is the variety of moles. They offer four different styles, giving you a chance to taste a range of traditional flavors from the region. That said, while the food was decent, it didn’t quite rise to the level I was hoping for. The flavors were there, but the overall quality left me wishing for something more authentic and refined. It honestly made me want to go back to Oaxaca itself. Overall, it’s a fun place for the atmosphere and a solid introduction to Oaxacan dishes, but it may not fully satisfy if you’re looking for top-tier quality.
