I was impressed by the advanced preparation the doctor did in order to provide the best possible treatment for my husband’s illness. Clarification of options gave me peace of mind. Definitely recommend her.

I had a very frustrating and dismissive experience with Dr. Miriam Gheissari. I have been suffering from traveler’s diarrhea for 4 weeks. My recent Urgent Care records and negative stool tests were sent to her for review, but when I messaged asking for an antibiotic, her staff told me I had to pay $50 for *another* appointment first. I pushed back since they already had all my lab results and current status. When Dr. Gheissari finally sent a prescription, it was a basic, first-line antibiotic. I immediately got a second opinion from another doctor who was much more thorough. They actually listened and prescribed a targeted medication specifically for a month-long illness, plus probiotics to heal my gut. I felt this office prioritized collecting another copay over actually looking at my chart and providing thorough care. As a result, I have officially changed my Primary Care Physician and will not be returning.

The appt. was the second biannual visit of the year. I like Dr. Gheissari. She's easy to talk with. My tests proved I was in better shape than 6 months ago. I received the RSV injection after reading an info sheet about recommending it for 75+ aged adults. Nearing 80, I wondered if it was an mRNA vaccine and I guess I didn't make myself clear and didn't follow up. Just assumed it wasn't. I wish I had. I voiced my opinion to Dr Gheissari in a text and she responded right away. She alleved my concerns some. But I never get the annual flu shot & I wasn't ever going to get the mRNA jab. My wife asks if she should get the RSV now too. I leave it up to her. She's over 75 & latest update is 50 year olds can use it.
