For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, how long is the wait at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. American restaurants typically run lunch and dinner services with a quieter stretch in between, coffee shops open early, and many kitchens close earlier on Sunday. Cards and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere, a tip of 15-20% is customary for table service, and sales tax is added at the register.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11:30 am–9:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (408) 352-5097. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is masakalicalifornia.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 1,155 reviews, which is a strong result for an indian restaurant in Cupertino and suggests consistent service.
Cupertino is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Cupertino is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I’m so surprised how great this place is! I’ve tried many Indian restaurants, and usually, you have to choose between the food, service and the ambience. But this place nails all three! I went there for butter chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. The service was also fantastic, thanks to Sameer for making it so pleasant. The portion size was also generous. Their cutlery also felt premium.

The food here tasted absolutely delicious, and we really enjoyed the service as well. Some of the must-try dishes are the Shahi Biryani and all the tandoori items, chats and Panipuri . Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance, excellent service, and a very welcoming atmosphere. Every dish was packed with rich and authentic flavors that left us completely satisfied. This is definitely a must-visit restaurant, and we look forward to coming back again!

This is a good Indian restaurant. They offered us mango lassi which was rich and creamy. Their tandoori mushrooms were delicious. Very different and tasted good. Their paneer curries also are good. But the naans were extremely oily!! Overall a good place except the oily naans

Absolutely delicious! The food was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The restaurant has a modern, clean ambience that makes the whole experience even better. The staff's attention to detail and excellent service really stood out (especially Prianka) and made us feel so welcomed. Every dish tasted fresh and full of aromatic flavors. Definitely a five-star white glove experience and my new favorite Indian restaurant! If you’ve been thinking about trying this place, stop thinking and just go!

One of the best, if not, the best quality Indian food we have tried! The service was exceptional, the staff were very warm and friendly and provided great recommendations. We felt well taken care of and were excited to try our food after smelling all the delicious dishes being served around us. The pani puri is a great refreshing appetizer, not filling and very light, but still flavorful and zesty with the sauce. The tandoori fish was incredible, the fish has a delicate almost pillowy texture, while having a very fresh and barbecued flavor profile. The butter chicken (spicy) has a great kick, and pairs very well with the garlic naan. It stacks lot of layers of flavors; it’s rich, complex, and has a divine combination of different spices with the perfect amount of distinct heat from the green chilis. The naan is made to perfection; doughy, fluffy, but the edges are crispy and the nan itself with garlic and oils is already a mouthful of flavors on its own. The dessert was warm and sweet with a slightly mochi like texture, but had a very nice touch of cardamom to even out the flavor to prevent it from being overly sweet, so yummy! Excited to keep coming back here :)
