I love stopping by The Malt Shop for a spicy cheesesteak and their chili cheese fries. The cheesesteak is always huge and overflowing with meat. The other thing is the staff is so friendly and accommodating. Over 6 months had gone by between visits and the owner still knew and remembered my first name from our previous conversation. The place has that fun old fashioned Malt Shop vibe and their is always tons of parking available.

Midway Classic Malt Shop – 11/10, my diet officially resigned. This place is clearly made with 100% love and about 0% concern for my waistline. The staff/ Jeff is ridiculously friendly, genuinely cares about the quality of the food, and makes you feel like you've been coming there for years. The homemade ranch deserves its own fan club—I'd probably dip my car keys in it if nobody was looking. The burgers are made with quality beef patties and absolutely delivered, and even the hot dog was phenomenal. I kept catching myself staring at everyone else's wings like a jealous seagull at the beach, so those are definitely next on the menu. If you're looking for great food, awesome people, and a meal that'll have you planning your next visit before you leave the parking lot, Midway Classic Malt Shop is the spot.

I got the True Bleu Burger and sweet Potato Fries and I have to say it was the best burger I've had..ever. The sweet potato fries were addicting and they gave us homemade ranch on the side. Staff was super friendly and made me feel like I was a regular even though it was my first time. I will definitely be back when in the area.

Friend of mine told me this was the place for good shakes, dogs, and burgers. Staff was welcoming and considerate, making sure not only me but everyone around felt welcomed and enjoyed their food. There's a sense of intimacy I saw between regulars and the staff showing how postive the atmosphere was. Would recommend a nice malt shake at the very least if you happen to be driving by. 👍🏼

Looking for a great burger, well try this place because it has just became one of my favorite top rated burger joints in San Diego. Like hold up, a 5 star place that lives up to its 5 star rating—Rare! This is an absolute must try. The food was amazing and the manager Jeff is DOPE! So let’s get into what I ate. I had an American cheese burger as is, onion rings, and a small drink. Approximately $21.00, and worth every penny. The food was extremely filling and I couldn’t finish everything. I also enjoyed a little treat on the way out as a complementary snack from Mr. Jeff. So what are you waiting for people, go check it out for yourself and rave about it like me and the other 2,000 people. 😃
