Our house was getting fumigated for termites, we needed a place to stay for two nights with the family and cats. I looked for something local and inexpensive, just a spot to crash for a couple of days. Motel 6 in San Ysidro had the best rate I could find online at $51.29 a night (plus the crazy hotel taxes). Since we needed two nights, I called to check if the walk-in rate was any cheaper. Nope! They quoted me $113 a night. So I booked two rooms online. For the price, I wasnβt expecting much, and the room delivered exactly that. It had two metal-framed full-size beds, a TV, air conditioning, and a basic stand-up shower. The beds were incredibly squeaky, the room was dusty, and you could tell the floors had been mopped with a DIRTY mop. My feet turned black just walking around, so I had to wipe the floor down with a towel before we could comfortably walk on it. The cats collected an impressive amount of dust bunnies, it was pretty gross. The room we had smelled like smoke (there's no smoking in rooms in Cali), the shower was outdated, the sinks were stained and missing their drain plugs, and there was no TV remote. I went to the office to get one, but the first one they gave me didn

That's more like it. Checked into Motel 6 Oceanside 2 nights ago. Arrived at 16:45, no room available. When one was available, no fridge or microwave, unlike here. Good location close to the I5 and LAS AMERICAS PREMIUM OUTLETS outlet mall. Much better for the same start rating.

So I was trying to do a good deed for my daughter high school basketball team and I called this motel 6 and the lady at the desk was willing to give me a great rate once I told her I was helping out a girls basketball team from Las Vegas who got added to a tournament last minute.. she was the best , now once we got the room a parent called and had a fit with the coach for staying at motel 6 ( HER WORDS MY KID DONT STAY AT MOTEL 6) at this point we had been in the rooms for almost a hour . I went down and explained to the lady at the desk what was going on and with out question she said let me see what I can do . And for the most part she gave me all of the money back which I was sure would not happen . She was amazing and is one of the best people at a hotel I have ever had to deal with . Thanks for doing all you could you was the best
