San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Francisco is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Rooms are outdated and definitely need some upkeep or a makeover, but its not a bad place on a budget. We stayed for a week, it was very quiet for most of our stay. We could hear upstairs neighbors walking around, the walls and floors are thin, but the area is nice. I felt safe walking down the street. We had a car but we walked a couple blocks to the bus stop to use public transport for most of our trip. This motel is near a few main bus lines if you dont mind a short walk.

I would say this Motel was the best. Clean and nice rooms. Front desk woman was very friendly, nice, helpful. And yeah they don't have elevator to other side of building but I was fine. Nearer to restaurants, gas stations, Bart, Muni. And location is good. Breakfast was decent. And Value to what I paid.

Stayed here for a week and I have mixed feelings about the place. First the pros: -Location is outstanding, close to major bus lines, walk-able to coffee shops, went jogging a couple of times and felt safe in the neighborhood all times of day. -Price was very reasonable. -Free parking, no need to say more. -Overall a cute place, though a bit dated. Now for the neutral commentary: -Service was, fine. The woman who checked us in was very friendly, the gentleman we asked for more coffee pods was less so. Not rude, but we sure felt like we annoyed him asking for more coffee. -Room cleanliness. It smelled a bit stuffy but so do most motel rooms, had some stains on the curtains, but overall it was fine. -Had the motel standard jet engine of an AC unit, loud as hell but fairly effective. And the negative: -Peace and quiet was occasionally difficult to get. We were on the third floor and knew to expect some street noise, which was reasonable. From other reviews, we gathered that the staff quarters are directly above rooms 316-311, which explains the noise. Heavy footsteps and audible voices were common. One night we heard them messing with the smoke detector for about an hour then partyi
