I had the pleasure of meeting with Paul Chang, and I could not speak highly enough about my experience being counseled by him. As a second generation Asian American, there are a lot of internalized pains and experiences that we go through, but also that shape us into who we are today. Through my experience with Paul, not only was he able to help me bridge a lot of the gap in my identity as a second-gen Asian American, but he was also able to show me the beauty in my unique upbringing as well. Paul is caring, empathetic, and is definitely the best listener that I have met in my life. He shows an incredible amount of poise and understanding, even when I'm talking in circles or ranting about areas that upon later reflection, seem not as significant. No matter the topic, Paul took them all with grace and compassion. Paul Chang is a big reason why I am the person I am today, and there are very few people that I would recommend more to sit down with and talk about any area in life that just needs a listening ear.

I've had the pleasure of working with Elizabeth Ku on a few cases, and I've been consistently impressed by her warmth, candor, and ability to hold space for her clients. If you are enduring depression, anxiety, or couples counseling, I would highly recommend her! She is deeply rooted in a compassionate approach to meet the unique needs of each client. I would highly recommend Elizabeth due to her knowledge of Korean culture and traditions, which has been invaluable in my therapy journey. If you are looking for a culturally competent therapist, Elizabeth is the therapist for you!

I would highly recommend Elizabeth Ku if you are seeking an Asian American therapist who is genuine, patient, kind, and affirming. She has a compassionate heart and is willing to walk along side her clients in a supportive stance, whether they struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, or need relational support for their marriage or partnerships. She has an incredible gift for seeing the potential and calling out the strengths in her clients. You will be in safe hands with her!

A very welcoming and safe space to share and receive counseling. Sessions don't feel rigid but more like talking with a peer that is very non judgmental. They are professional and inclusive to the Asian American experience which is hard to come by. Elizabeth is a great therapist and I would definitely refer friends, family and coworkers that want quality care for their mental state which is so important!

Highly recommend Oak & Stone for anyone and everyone coming from all walks of life. You truly feel taken care of by the team. So much appreciation for Elizabeth who creates a safe space, which means a lot for someone like me who has had many misses with individualized care and counseling. Every minute you spend is intentional, and she has helped provide the insight and perspective I need in transitioning through life stages while being an Asian-American young adult. Definitely my go-to for any referrals!

Hatty and the team at Oak and Stone therapy are incredible healers. They approach things with such empathy, showing that they really care about the clients and the work that they do. Hatty, the owner, is empathetic, encouraging, direct, and creates an environment where you can easily open up and share. She is a thoughtful therapist who approaches her work with creativity and care, showing how far intuition can go - something that is learned outside of the classroom.

As a pastor, Esther has been an amazing resource of hope and healing for my congregation. Her insight into the plight that many Asian Americans have faced during the past few difficult years has been instrumental to our growth and development as emerging adults. Adjusting to an ever-changing landscape is never easy, especially when dealing with past, and often still-present, trauma. Depression and anxiety are no strangers to our people. Many have been entering into periods of religious deconstruction and a general reevaluation of their identity as children of immigrants. Yet, Esther's patience and warmth combined with her keen clinical skills have allowed many of our members to experience acceptance and freedom. In a time where therapy is becoming gradually more accepted in the Asian American community, I'm glad that Oak and Stone is leading the way with many talented, experienced therapists.

This team offers a warm, welcoming and healing approach to life's difficult experiences. As Asian American therapists, they are specialized in addressing issues around the person of color experience. Highly recommended!
