I went to this ER because I had very severe pain from a labial abscess, severe enough to prevent walking for more than a few feet (which still put me at a 9-10 on the pain scale). My partner was with me and was absolutely horrified at how I was treated throughout the whole process. During triage, I was at a 7-8 on the pain scale since I'd gotten to sit down in the waiting room for a bit. I had to keep repeating myself as the information being repeated back was consistently incorrect. When asked what medications I'm allergic to, I always answer the one I get really bad hives from just in case, and I know it probably won't ever be relevant. Our triage nurse acted annoyed that I would say it, asking why I would say that one, saying the doctors wouldn't ever give me that, that it's OTC and doctors don't give OTC medication (which is...well, not true, I was literally given ibuprofen during my stay there as an example), etc. Writing it down and moving on would have taken a second, even if he did think it was stupid of me to say. While I generally don't mind waiting, we were kept in the waiting room for a couple of hours, and my pain was increasing. We were seen by a nurse who attempted

Salma (RN), Jenny (CNA), and Jocelyn (CNA) at Palomar were truly outstanding during my stay. From the moment I was under their care, they showed genuine compassion, professionalism, and patience that made a difficult situation much easier to get through. Salma provided excellent nursing care and always took the time to explain things clearly, making sure I felt informed and supported. Her calm and attentive approach helped me feel safe and respected throughout my stay. Jenny and Jocelyn were equally incredible. They were consistently kind, attentive, and quick to respond to needs with a positive attitude. Even during busy moments, they treated me with dignity and made sure I was comfortable and cared for. All three of them went above and beyond what I expected. Their teamwork, empathy, and dedication to patient care truly stood out. Iβm very grateful for everything they did for me and the respect they showed me during my time there.

I am leaving this review because patients deserve honesty, respect and accountability. I came to this orthopedic office dealing with a fractured foot expecting medical professionalism, clear communication and basic compassion. Instead I left feeling dismissed, unsupported and treated like I was an inconvenience for needing care. I was on crutches and trying to navigate appointments while dealing with pain and stress. A patient in that situation should not feel ignored or pushed aside. I should not have left feeling embarrassed, confused and struggling physically while trying to receive medical care. What concerns me even more is that this was not a situation where the office appeared overwhelmed or crowded. That is why this experience continues to stay with me. I kept asking myself a simple question, why was helping an injured patient so difficult? I also want to mention something that confused me as a patient. I noticed multiple Palomar related listings connected to the same building and address. This listing appeared to have little or no reviews while other connected Palomar listings had many reviews attached to them. I am not claiming I know why this happens, but from a patient

I went to the ER at Pomerado Hospital 3 weeks ago and the staff was amazing. Everyone was kind and helpful. I was seen by Dr Wong who is an incredible doctor. Again, I was ill and went back to the ER and the same amazing staff was working. The wait time was realistic. Fortunately, Dr. Wong was there. He's thorough and explained everything to me just like the first time. What an asset this staff is to Polamar Hsp.

Do not use this lab if you have other options. The woman at the βreceptionβ desk who is 30-inches away will not greet or speak to you. When I asked why she hadnβt picked up our order out of the basket that says βLab Orders Hereβ, she said we hadnβt checked in- pointing at a clipboard with labels on it without looking up. I asked how we are supposed to know that- again, sternly and without looking at us, βthatβs why I have signs.β I asked again why we had been sitting in front of her for all this time waiting and she didnβt say a word. Again, as aloof as possible without looking up- βI have other orders.β Wow. Then she processed every other person ahead of us. There is no point having a human being there - especially with a mostly senior population- if she is going to point at signs and be rude to patients. My 88-year old family member told me βshe is always like that.β Unacceptable, Pomerado Hospital- This community deserves better!
