I can't say enough great things about the outstanding customer service provided by Aaliyah and Daniella at Pier South Resort. I drove more than 75 miles from Temecula, California, specifically to stay at this hotel because of its beautiful ocean views. When I made my reservation, it looked like the room I had booked wouldn't have the view I was hoping for. From the moment I arrived, Aaliyah and Daniella went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. They worked with genuine care to find me a room with the ocean view I had traveled for. Aaliyah's warm personality, genuine smile, professionalism, and friendly approach immediately made me feel welcome. This isn't my first experience with her—she has consistently provided the same exceptional level of service every time I've stayed here. Daniella was equally professional, welcoming, and committed to ensuring my stay started perfectly. Their hospitality is the reason I keep coming back to Pier South Resort instead of considering other hotels. We had a wonderful stay at Pier South Resort. The oceanfront views from the Presidential Suite were absolutely beautiful and made our stay extra special. The pool area was well maintained, quiet, and perfect for relaxing while enjoying the scenery. The peaceful atmosphere and beachfront location made it easy to unwind and enjoy our time away. We would definitely return and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing coastal getaway.

We had an amazing stay at Pier South Resort in Imperial Beach during our San Diego family vacation. The hotel was beautiful, clean, relaxing, and the beachfront location was absolutely perfect. Our room had an incredible ocean view balcony, and waking up to the sound of the waves every morning made the trip even better. The entire property had a calm, laid-back atmosphere that made it really easy to unwind. A special shoutout to the valet staff, especially Oziel and Noe, who were both incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. They always greeted us with a smile and made us feel genuinely welcomed every time we arrived back at the hotel. We spent our trip surfing, exploring Little Italy, souvenir shopping, relaxing on the beach, and enjoying the local area, and Pier South ended up being the perfect home base for all of it. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing beachfront San Diego getaway.

We were concerned going in, as we had read a number of unfavorable reviews stating that the facilities were dirty, run down and not well maintained. We were happily surprised to find that while the facilities may have some premature aging due to sea salt air and beach sand, nothing was dirty or "too far gone" that we felt uncomfortable. Maintenance staff were working on several areas of the hotel painting, repairing and updating. Everything was clean, and comfortable. Beyond that the staff were fantastic. They actually smiled and appeared to enjoy their job. They helped us, were kind and offered some good tips for day trips. I would definitely not hesitate to recommend this hotel and would be happy to stay here again. We had ocean view rooms 304 and 307. The balcony on 307 was in a great spot overlooking the fitness park and the ocean. 304 was a little further over focusing on the park, but still nice. Room 310 is probably the sweet spot for views of the ocean. Good value for the money in California oceanfront hotels.
