Overall, I enjoyed the food, vibes, and service, but I have my critiques. We ordered the Insalata Mista and the dressing was good and refreshing but the leaves and cucumber itself, was very bitter and almost inedible. I wouldn’t order again. The white bean bruschetta was good, but nothing special and lacked seasoning. The squash blossom pizza was quite good and good quality and the funghi pizza too. However, they’re supposed to specialize in pizza and didn’t feel like that was their specialty. I loved the basque cheesecake and highly recommend it. I also loved their dessert wine, Vin Santo. Very good, but such a tiny portion for the price. I wouldn’t get the same items again except for the Vin Santo and cheesecake. Great service and good vibes!

If you’re looking for truly delicious pizza, this is the place to go. Their seasonal dishes featuring fresh, in-season ingredients are also excellent. They offer an impressive selection of Italian wines to pair with your meal, and the service is professional and attentive. The only downside is that the tables are quite close together, so it can feel a bit crowded at times.

Pizzeria Mozza delivers far more than a great meal, it delivers an experience. From the burrata and handmade pastas to the Branzino, Duck Confit, Ribeye, and Rack of Lamb, every course was outstanding. One of the most enjoyable dining experiences I’ve had in Los Angeles and absolutely deserving of its acclaim. Highly recommended.

THE QUINTESSENTIAL LA EATERY SUFFERS BADLY WITH TIME Went last night and I have to say, after coming here for years and taking every visitor to LA here, the quality of food and service has declined to the point that I felt the need to write this updated review. Pizzeria Mozza is iconic. Created with love, it really showed what good minds, ingredients, and service could deliver. It radiated California. Whether you sat at a table, at the bar, or in the back, it was always great. Last night, I found that the menu has declined. They have taken off items that were staples. Prosciutto and fruit—a classic—and the Margherita pizza with prosciutto are gone. Even asking for simple modifications, we were met with, "Sorry—can't do that." The vodka pasta has gone stale. The wedge salad was literally inedible; it was so much of the lettuce core and so bitter. I should have just sent it back ASAP. The food gems: the Japanese potato is a new treat. I have to say, it was a meal highlight. The Tin Roof Sundae was also a standout. Pizzas are still the best part of this menu; the fennel pizza was a good one. Came here the other night for a dinner. The Bartender was amazing and he was very kind while I waited on my reservation. Once seated outside, our server Juan was very kind and knew a lot about the menu to let us know what would best suit our needs. I ordered the Meatballs Al Forno for the appetizers which were great and the bread that came with it delicious. For entrees we order the lasagna, prosciutto, and meat lovers pizzas. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their pizzas. The lasagna in my opinion was just ok. It was good, but not the best that I’ve had and I would’ve expected a bit better for an Italian restaurant. But not all lasagnas are made the same. And they are more known for their pizzas than their lasagna. Overall, we had a great dining experience and this is truly a beautiful restaurant with incredible staff. I will certainly try it again and get the pizza next time which was a colossal hit with my party.
