We enjoyed our late dinner at this friendly local restaurant. If you don't need a fancy place, the staff will reward you with a friendly warm smile plus delicious food for a good value. Order at the counter. Get your plates and utensils if you need them. We aren't vegetarians and came here because we couldn't stand in long lines we found in other places. We came away happy for the experience and we'd come again. We were the only non-Indians here which means this place is legit. We ordered Bombay Biryani, Bharti Vangi (eggplant), Makati Palak(curry with corn), Puri and Naan. I think the Bharti Vangi stood out. The Puri was a little disappointing. The texture was thin and not satisfying. The biryani was solid. We liked the manager and the servers. There is seating outside.

We loved this place. Very few restaurants do justice to Maharashtrian food and this was one of it. Everything we ordered was good and the to go was packed with so much care. I would definitely be coming back here!

Most recommended spot for authentic vegetarian food! The Puranpoli with extra ghee is a 10/10. Tried the Vada Pav and felt like I was back in Mumbai. The Misal, Pav Bhaji, and Thali were all toptier. Don't skip this place!

We have enjoyed Authentic Puran poli with Pure ghee, Modak and Kothimbir vadi, so many times, felt like home made dishes are served keeping the delicious taste unchanged. Second time we took dine in experience too, which was quite satisfactory and relished the taste. Lunch thali was adequate, tasty but portion size of sweet served was very small. Misal pav was quite tasty, kadhai paneer, bharli vangi had bhakri had authentic taste. Its really enjoyable experience.

If you’re looking for authentic Indian comfort food in Santa Clara, Puranpoli Restaurant is a must-visit. Everything we tried was flavorful, well prepared, and truly comforting. We started with the sabudana khichdi, which was perfectly balanced light, aromatic, and cooked just right. The pav bhaji was rich, buttery, and packed with flavor, served with soft toasted buns that soaked up the curry beautifully. For sweets, the rasgulla was soft, juicy, and not overly sweet a perfect ending. And of course, the highlight was the puran poli: a traditional sweet flatbread stuffed with a jaggery and lentil filling, thin, soft, and finished with ghee. Absolutely delicious and made the traditional way. The food quality, authentic flavors, and comforting dishes make this one of the best Indian restaurants in Santa Clara for both savory and sweet options. Highly recommend if you’re craving real, home-style Indian food.
