I came in to have my engine shield repaired, and the team exceeded my expectations. They completed the repair quickly, then went above and beyond by washing and cleaning my car at no extra charge. The service was professional, efficient, and the quality of the work was excellent. Since moving to San Diego, I'm happy to say I've found my go-to mechanic. Highly recommend!

Ray came highly recommended by a lomgtime local who also had his Subaru Outback worked on here. My 2011 3.6R Suby tranny has been clunkin & slipping for a long while (195k), I took it to Ray, 1st thing he did was personally road test it...wouldn't you know it, it didnt act up at all for him. He came back and said he could sell me an $8k tranny but told me in all honesty, just drive it -super cool & no games. I let him kerp it & run diagnostics on it...turns out the valve body was likely the issue. Could be $3k with dealer parts or...they could do an aftermarket work around for $800. I chose the latter. So far so good. Big road trip next week, so that will be the best test. Super happy with their methodology, honesty and quick turnaround time!

I was recommended by another business to Ray Frey and I don't regret it! The Charging System light on my Toyota Camry turned on the day before and I wanted it addressed asap. The next morning, I was greeted warmly by the staff and was helped by Ray himself. I wanted to confirm if the problem was indeed my alternator and Ray took the time to check and walk me through his thought process, which I appreciated very much. He quoted me and broke down the charges, the price I found very reasonable. Speedy service for replacing the alternator, was able to get my car back by the afternoon. Will definitely come back again for whatever service.

Ray and his team were amazing. Knowledgeable, professional and very friendly. Car troubles are never fun, but we were pleasantly surprised with how smooth this experience was. I would 100% recommend them and will absolutely go back should we run into any car issues in the future.
