About Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California

The Southern California chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) began in 1977 with the planning of the region's first Ronald McDonald House in Los Angeles blocks from Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

RMHCSC Celebrates helping to keep families close. From providing a room for families to have a quick rest that only steps away from their child, A house for families to stay overnight near the hospital, or providing a weekend or a week away for a patient and a family to recharge and for a kid to learn to be a kid again. RMHCSC continues to work to help to keep families, communities, and patients close.

RMHC LA is absolute magic! Providing a warm, loving, and supportive environment for families during some of the toughest times of their lives is truly remarkable. The staff and volunteers show up with kindness, compassion, and generosity that goes above and beyond. A haven of hope, comfort, and peace.

What a great organization this is. I have family staying here, due to an appointment at Los Angeles Children's hospital. Quiet, clean, parking for visitors. Play area for kids. A huge kitchen for residents. All free of charge. Also food items are donated.

Such a blessing to have this opportunity while my daughter was in the hospital for over a month. Only thing I was very disappointed about the staff causing more problems than I already had. Thank goodness for the management.

A home away from home. While my son was hospitalized at Children's hospital, it made it alittle easier for me especially having to leave my children & husband behind just to care for my son. Love their support system.

My hubs and I were fortunate to stay here while our newborn was in the NICU, PICU and then pediatrics. It was an incredible blessing to be so close to our baby and stay in a great facility. The rooms are like hotel rooms, with a desk, bed, TV, bathroom etc. Very clean and comfy to stay in. The communal area is large as is the kitchen and dining area. Each room has a designated area for pantry, fridge and freezer items and a communal pantry and fridge area. Complimentary coffee and the weekly activity calendar all made the stay even better. It was incredibly nice to not think about some meals and have some distractions. Everyone we met was very kind and friendly.

This is a Ronald McDonald house accounted with the house a block above on Fountain. It is a really nice new facility with a fantastic kitchen and dining area.
