The church itself provided a beautiful setting for a wedding and the officiant who conducted the ceremony was warm, professional, and did good job. Unfortunately, our experience with the wedding coordinator, Monica, created unnecessary stress during what should have been a joyful occasion. At the rehearsal, our group was left waiting outside the church with the doors locked and no communication regarding when we could enter. Monica unlocked the door and left us standing outside. Throughout the rehearsal, questions were frequently interrupted before they could be asked, and interactions often felt abrupt and dismissive rather than welcoming or helpful. We were often told to wait because information would be provided later, but the manner in which this was communicated came across as impatient and unnecessarily curt. The wedding day was no better. Guests and family members were repeatedly rushed into their seats and instructed not to stop to greet, hug, or interact with loved ones as they entered the church. At one point, Monica shushed guests in a manner that felt more appropriate for disciplining children than speaking to adults. Going as far as using the church microphone to carry

I do not recommend getting married at this church. The wedding attendant, Monica, and the organ player were both extremely rude and condescending, and frankly, an embarrassment to a Catholic institution whose very foundation is built on family and community. The organ player scolded guests for greeting each other. We were raised to acknowledge one another, stand up and give warm hugs when family enters the room. That is not a disruption, that is love. We were not being disruptive, we were simply a family attempting to celebrate a joyful moment and Monica and her accomplice treated us like an inconvenience. Monica nearly sent my cousin, the bride, into a full anxiety spiral in the car on the way to her own wedding because she was two minutes behind schedule. No exaggeration, literally just two minutes! To top it off, Meany Monica had the audacity to toss the mother of the bride’s flowers and purse at her as she took her seat at the altar. She has no class. Zero! Monica has no business being a wedding attendant. She is aggressive, unwelcoming, and eludes negative energy. If the Catholic Church stands for anything, it stands for love, family, and community. None of that was present

The cathedral in downtown Fresno is a go-to for worshiper's who like an old-school aesthetic look and feel to their house of worship. I highly recommend.

It is a more beautiful looking church from the inside than the outside. Parking is not so good though. It does not have a large enough dedicated parking lot.

The seat of our Bishop. St John's cathedral bears the namesake of St John the Baptist. Well their parochial Vicars may vary at times. Bishop Joseph Brennan is the primary celebrate for the main masses each year. While the vicar general Father Salvador Gonzales usually will cover the rest of the major celebration days. The daily masses are always packed. Then the murals on the walls are absolutely beautiful. With depictions of the Saints. Stained glass windows as well. The outside brick is extremely beautiful. And each day while walking through the downtown, you can hear the bells calling us to Christ. ❤️‍🔥🕊️

The church was very beautiful. I couldn’t understand the priest when he was talking just the way he was saying everything sounded like he was singing opera very hard to understand didn’t understand anything.

Beautiful and Serene, Our Greatgrandmother brought her childern here and her childern brought their childen and their childern brought us and we are bringing ours! I luv this church!
