Waiting a long time for the power to come back on. It went out at 12:30 and it's now 7:09. I take care of my disabled mom and Uncle.

The billing system is completely flawed. The due dates are all over the place. And no human available to answer questions. The auto phone system does not have a 'push this number' for an option to ask a particular question about the invoices. And I have been double charged, with no way to stop this.

One month every year they do an estimated reading of the gas/electric service that is 3-10 X more then the average monthly readings. There's nothing you can do about it. They will not correct the obvious error. If I could give them zero Stars I would.

My comment is about all of SDGE and it's a mixed bag. I'll start with the minuses and end with the pluses. 1) Regardless of paying online or in person they don't take debit or credit cards. It is subcontracted to a company called Bill Matrix. That's why the $1.50 fee no matter what. 2) You can give them your bank routing and account number and pay online or via text and avoid the $1.50. However, if you or the bank makes the slightest mistake, they will crucify you. This is especially true if you made a payment arrangement with them. They instantly want all the money and will never let you have a payment arrangement ever again. Example: my payroll direct deposit was 3 business days late one time. They consider that self termination of the payment arrangement. NOW THE PLUSSES. 1)If you are low income they will enroll you in the CARE or FERA Program. 2) With qualifying medical conditions, they will enroll you in the Medical Baseline Program which substantially raises the levels of the pricing tiers. 3) If you are low income they will replace old energy inefficient appliances with brand new more efficient ones for free.
