This was our first time staying at Thousand Trails Santa Cruz Ranch, and we used one of the tent sites. The campground is definitely geared more toward RVs and trailers. Our site was heavily shaded but lacked privacy, and being near the entrance meant dealing with vehicle noise and headlights throughout the night. Otherwise, we had a good stay! The staff was wonderful, the common areas were incredibly clean, and the showers had great hot water. The pool looked fun, though we didn't jump in. It’s a highly convenient location for accessing Santa Cruz and the highway, but if you want a secluded, back-to-nature camping experience, you may want to look elsewhere.

Campsite was clean and accommodating.Leah the office professional was super friendly and understanding.restrooms were always clean and they had a nice size washroom. The campsite was 15 from the beach and only 10 minutes from the amazing El Dorado train ride through the redwoods. Loved the experience. 5 stars if it was in front of beach 😎
