Iconic LA spot, definitely worth a quick stop. Fun to walk around and see the rides and attractions right on the pier. Prices are pretty high and lines can get long if you want to actually go on the attractions, but the views are great and it's a cool atmosphere. You can see the main part of it pretty fast, it's really only worth spending more time (and money) here if you're up for doing the rides.

Beautiful and lively beach right next to the iconic Santa Monica Pier. Pacific Park adds a fun amusement‑park vibe with the Ferris wheel, roller coaster, and classic boardwalk games. Great mix of ocean views, entertainment, and photo spots. Easy access, plenty of food options, and a perfect place to enjoy the beach and the classic LA pier atmosphere. A must‑see location for all GTA fans — this is the real‑life inspiration for Del Perro Pier in GTA V.

Seeing the iconic Santa Monica Pier is pretty cool and I can finally check it off my bucket list. The view from the pier is breathtaking. I loved the feel of the sea breeze. There’s just something about the open ocean that feels so therapeutic. Also there’s plenty of parking nearby and the parking prices aren’t terrible. If you decide to buy some souvenirs, wait till you get to the store further into the pier, their prices seem to be way cheaper than the ones closer to the entrance.

Santa Monica Pier is one of those iconic places that truly captures the spirit of California. The combination of the historic pier, Pacific Park, the beach, street performers, and the endless Pacific Ocean creates an atmosphere that’s full of energy, fun, and unforgettable memories. Walking along the pier at sunset was a highlight of our trip. The ocean views are spectacular, the cool sea breeze is refreshing, and there’s something exciting around every corner. From the Ferris wheel and amusement rides to the local food and live entertainment, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. One thing to keep in mind is that parking can be quite difficult to find, especially around midday and on weekends, and the area gets very crowded. Arriving early in the morning or later in the evening will make your visit much more enjoyable. Despite the crowds, Santa Monica Pier is absolutely worth visiting. It’s more than just a pier—it’s the heart of Santa Monica and one of the most memorable experiences on the California coast.

We went on July 4th evening and this place was a blast. We stayed late hanging around in the outdoor pier rides. My kids loved all the rides. Had famous funnel cake. Normally evenings are pretty windy, so go prepared. There were fireworks around which lit up the entire pier
