I recently had a stay at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas in both Labor & Delivery and Mother & Baby, and I cannot express enough how truly exceptional my experience was. From the moment I arrived, every single staff member treated me with the utmost compassion, respect, and professionalism. This was not an easy time for me, as I had to make one of the toughest decisions of my life—but I was supported every step of the way in the most knowledgeable, gentle, and understanding manner. I want to give special recognition to a few incredible individuals who made a lasting impact on my experience. Kasia in Labor & Delivery was absolutely amazing—calm, attentive, and incredibly reassuring. In Mother & Baby, Kelsey and Hannah were both so kind, patient, and supportive, always making sure I felt comfortable and cared for. And I cannot forget Izzy, the CNA who worked with me most of my stay—she went above and beyond to ensure I felt safe, seen, and genuinely cared for. I am also deeply grateful to Nurse-Midwife Lange and Dr. Rumbar for delivering my baby safely and efficiently. Their expertise and calm presence brought me so much peace during such an emotional time. This was, without

Update 5/29/26: I had to return because the pain was unbearable and my doctor recommended again I go, I suffer from Lupus and Small Fiber Neuropathy both very painful conditions, especially when in an episode or any small amounts of stress poke me. The staff was non-judgmental on my return, and worked to reassess my pain levels and help me feel better. Even recommended for admission if my pain levels were not eased by the pain management they gave. The Doctor listened, and so did the nurses so well. I always have terrible experiences as someone who is chronically ill, seen as a drug-seeker or worse, and no one should be treated that way. Especially with terrible auto-immune diseases. Do yourself a favor, come here, be honest, and let them take care of you because they will. Thank you, Scripps! 5/28/26: Very attentive staff, compassionate and caring. I have an autoimmune disease. They listened, they didn’t judge or even make me feel as such. They have such great bedside manners, nurses, and reaction time. I felt safe and welcomed, thank you to Nurse Emma, Nurse Ian ER Tech Jacob, and Doctor for the attention and compassion given during my stay. Highly recommend!

I went to the emergency room few days ago. I was taken by ambulance. With very bad vertigo and blurry vision. I waited for the Doctor for 4 hours. While I was waiting in the room I had to use the restroom. I asked the nurse to escort me to the bathroom many times and after many attempts of asking and asking over ovet again she finally decided to showed up. When I came out from the bathroom, I was aspecting that the nurse was waiting for me to help me back to my room, but she was gone. So I had literally called out someone to help me back. When the Doctor finally showed up she spent less than 5 minutes with me , I told her that was feeling, tired hungry and thirsty (besides having vertigo-and) I was surprised that she didn’t order an IV . She did after I asked for it. She left my room and I was never told why I was having those symptoms. I asked the nurse if I could talk to the Doctor to get some explanation and directions of what to do. I waited 1 more hour hoping to talk to her and she never showed up. I left because I just wanted to go home by then I didn’t see the point of me staying there.I left my phone number to the nurse to have the Doctor call me but I never received any

I delivered my baby at this hospital and we cannot say enough good things about the staff here. Throughout our 3 day stay We encountered 12 different staff members doctors, midwives, nurses and every single one of them was beyond amazing. They were compassionate, extra caring, extremely experienced and knowledgeable. A few care team members that went above and beyond were Our nurse Hannah who checked us in, midwife Cara, nurse Eileen, lactation specialist Kara. We wish we could personally thank everyone again for the care we received. Hope that this review helps!

Highly professional, caring, top-notch physicians and staff. I have my mother with a hip fracture/surgery and my daughter with a serious infection in the hospital at same time and the hospital and staff are on top of everything. Many thanks for their kind and thorough care of my family.
