San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Francisco is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I feel like I’m being generous by giving this place 1 star because the book “things you know but cannot explain” is a book written by native people for native people, but I don’t think any of the money goes to native people. You can actually buy this book at the “Gorman museum of native art,” which has free admission all the time, and it’s in Davis, California. Don’t laugh because it’s not that far from the Bay Area. Harry fonseca is a famous artist from the area, although I think he was technically from so-called Sacramento (since Sacramento is nissenan territory, if I’m not mistaken). The items at the “Gorman museum of native art” - I take out the word “American” - that money actually goes to native people I believe. So you might not wanna buy stuff from the San Francisco museum of art gift shop if you can avoid it. Museums are a colonial invention, as Regan wells taught us from the “Rutherford falls” tv show, so you can only reclaim colonial inventions you can’t “indigenize” something that isn’t indigenous (native) to a place. I didn’t know that either so I wanted to share that fun fact. Truthfully, the Gorman museum of native art is a gallery for the community, but I’m just try

I spent so long in this store that I wanted to buy everything. It's like a toy store for adults with books, stationeries, souvenirs, and everything in between. They are colourful and quirky (some). They remind us there are beautiful things called art out there that are worth our longing.

A lot of interesting things to see as we waited our turn to enter. Some very clever and interesting objects, but definitely not cheap. Only sad part was not seeing more interesting puzzles sold.
