i went to coronado er months ago. i was in severe back pain for months, i was at the end of my rope. it was debillatating. shooting down my leg every time i moved. dr j gentile correctly diagnosed me with sciatica. he treated my pain and explained to me the process and plan for recovering from sciatica. more importantly he was compassionate and he listened and gave me the best care i have had in a hospital. he is the best. thank you sharp coronado ER!!

I had outpatient surgery on June 12, 2026. My surgeon was Doctor Bench, Anesthesiologist Doctor Dennis, and my caregivers included: Josefina, Nancy (RN), Ben (RN), Lena (RN), and Denise (RN). The entire team was caring, professional and skilled. They took excellent care of me, and I'm very grateful to each member. As a boy, I spent a few years in Argentina, and I like practicing my Spanish whenever I get the chance. In her own words, "Josefina" set the perfect tone that encapsulated my entire experience at Sharp Coronado. I thanked her for her care in Spanish, and she replied "para servirle señor", which means "to serve you sir". That wonderful phrase said it all! Thank you all for your kindness and wonderful care!! As expected, the issue continued to bounce around without clear accountability. I asked to be connected with someone who actually cares and is willing to do something meaningful about what happened — or to simply stop wasting my time with generic responses. This experience left my husband and me homeless, ignored our serious medical concerns, and showed a complete lack of compassion during one of the hardest moments of our lives. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage others to avoid this hospital and hospital system if possible. Response to their response: Thank you for responding to my review, but at this point your offer to “help” honestly feels like an afterthought. While I was admitted, I repeatedly felt ignored, dismissed, and not taken seriously despite having an established diagnosis and history of seizures from multiple neurologists. I was left without proper treatment until another serious seizure occurred that resulted in staff needing to call a code. During this same hospitalization, the vehicle my husband and I were living in was towed, leaving us homeless and forced onto the streets shortly after my discharge. ​I had a fantastic experience at this location for lab work. The entire process was incredibly streamlined and as pleasant as a hospital visit can be. From the welcoming security guard to the lightning-fast check-in, everything moved smoothly. ​A special shout-out to Alyssa, who handled my blood draw; I didn’t feel a thing! To top it off, there was plenty of free parking and the surrounding views are stunning.

We had an excellent experience recently at the Sharp Coronado ER with my mother, who's in her 90s. Everyone we encountered, starting with the security team outside, treated us with the highest concern, care and respect. She was seen quickly and the whole visit ran smoothly. The entire ER team was great - especially Dr. McGuire and Kylie. There were other wonderful professionals on the team who provided excellent care to her but sadly I didn't get all the names. Thank you for all you do to help patients feel safe and well cared for!
