We hired them for a full Roof Replacement with solar panel removal and reinstallation, they started a job in October 2024 and finished it in December of that year. We had so many problems with our roof leaking having damage to our floors because of the rain. That came when they were working even though they are sure. Does that the work will be completed before the rain came. They fixed a leak and another one would show up. We have always let them know about the issues we had. And at first they were trying to fix it now and 2026. We still have leaks and they have blocked us and refused to take our calls our solar panels we'. Also installed incorrectly, which has left us with over a $1000 to pay for our true up bill. We are talking to a lawyer right now. But now I have a messed up roof and damages to my house on top of a thirty thousand dollar debt for our for our roof placement. They also did not respond to the Better Business Bureau concerning our claim against them.

DO NOT contract Side by Side Roofing! Look elsewhere. Our experience has been extremely frustrating due to their unprofessionalism, deception, and failure to complete the job. Here’s what we’ve dealt with: 1. Unfinished Roof & Major Delays They removed our old shingles on May 28 and replaced wood on June 1. On June 14, they finally returned — but only installed about 30% of the new shingles, and haven’t been back since. It’s now been weeks with no progress. • Our satellite TV remains disconnected • Our solar panels still can’t be reinstalled 2. We checked with the CSLB and confirmed that Side by Side Roofing’s contractor license was suspended until June 14 — meaning they possibly began and continued work on our home illegally, without telling us. This is both deceptive and unlawful. 3. Lied About Inspection Delays They claimed the holdup was due to waiting for a city inspector to review the woodwork. We personally went to the city permit office and learned: • No inspection was ever scheduled • An inspector could’ve come as early as the next day if they had actually booked one This lie was clearly meant to cover up their licensing issues. 4. We received multiple window & a door installations from Side by side. Raul Martinez-Ayala & Gregory Martinez were the employees who arrived. They provided very professional service. They were sure to do a walk thru at the end to confirm we were satisfied with their work & all questions were answered if any. We highly recommend their work.
