We were just coming from Legoland and we were all exhausted. We found this halal restaurant that looked really good. We order two fried rice dishes, ramen dish, and a fried noodle dish. To begin my fried rice dish was way too buttery and we are currently approaching an hour and we are still waiting on our second dish. They said it uses the same area to cook all their fried dishes but an hour for two different types of dishes? Cmon. Idk if this is a one time thing but we will not be coming back. This is absolutely unacceptable and there needs to be some serious change with the staff. When we asked about the dish we were shown attitude. When our dish finally did come it had this really weird mix to spices, the egg was all on the side of the plate in one piece. I drank all my water about 40 minutes ago and still no refill. I’m am not impressed and will not be coming back.

My intention the first time I visited was to place a carry-out order. However, upon walking in and being welcomed whole heartedly by the staff, and being surprised by the beautiful atmosphere, I decided to grab a table instead. The menu is simple, which speaks volume as to the specialties Silk Road Lanzhou prepares. I ordered their ramen, a fried rice, some appetizers, and teas for refreshments and everything was TRULY delicious. The noodles were prepared to perfection, the fried rice was not greasy and was seasoned lightly as to not overwhelm the flavor of the add-ons like veggies or beef. The veggies were fresh, crunchy and juicy. The service, the ambiance, the food all were very enjoyful and I will definitely return soon for more.

Amazing halal soup, rice and noodles! This was such a wonderful experience. Staff was friendly and had us seated quickly. All the dishes we had were full of flavor. Highly recommend the lamb skewers, beef soup with flat noodles and fried rice. The flat noodles are authentic and so tasty. Would absolutely come here again!

First time visiting this noodle shop. I came with my brother around 7 PM on a Sunday, and it wasn’t busy at all, which was great—we were seated right away with no wait. This location is located right next to Ralph’s store We ordered the fried noodles with fried egg, signature ramen with an egg on the side, along with the tripe and beef pie. What completely stole the show for us was the noodles. You could immediately taste how fresh they were. I’ve honestly never had fresh Lanzhou-style noodles from China before, and the flavor and texture were so unique—super chewy, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Even now, I’m thinking about them and craving more. The side dishes didn’t impress us as much. The egg was just a basic hard-boiled egg with nothing special about it, which was a bit disappointing. However, that didn’t take away from how incredible the noodles were—they were truly the highlight of the meal. One thing to note is the location: it’s in a beach area with a noticeable homeless presence, so just be aware of that if it matters to you. Overall, we still had a good experience and I definitely look forward to coming back for the noodles and try other side dishes.

Lanzhou Beef Noodles: 10/10 Very good. I got the wide noodles and they were phenomenal. This definitely has a sort of pho-esque flavor, but is definitely in its own world. The beef was tender, radish not too mushy, and noodles were perfectly chewy. The chili oil here, which is on the side, is mild and has a deep chili and smoky flavor. You can ask for a sort of green salsa hot sauce (it really does taste like salsa verde) that is decently hot, but not spicy to me. Very balanced bowl of noodles, I recommend Shredded Carrot and Potato Salad: 9/10 I was expecting the traditional sour style of shredded salad, but this one was different! It had a lot of spices I don’t associate with the dish. I mean this in the best way, it tastes like how dimsum restaurants smell. A bit oily, but everything was seasoned perfectly. Purple Cabbage Salad: 7.5/10 Decent, it’s sweet and sour. I was kind of afraid this was going to be like a rebranded Costco salad, but it wasn’t. I wouldn’t pick it again but if you want something with a fresh veggie crunch, this might do it for you. Spicy Seaweed Salad: 9/10 I liked this a lot! It actually was not too fishy or ocean-y and had that signature mala flavor I
