My family and I had an amazing night here! Everything was wonderful from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, and Denise, who helped us tonight, was so kind, attentive, and welcoming. She made sure we had everything we needed and made our experience even more enjoyable. We truly had a great time and will definitely be coming back! ❤️

I had the beef ribs with Brussels sprouts and cream corn, and everything was outstanding. The ribs were incredibly tender and packed with flavor. The Brussels sprouts were delicious, especially with the dates and bacon—they were the perfect combination of sweet and savory. The cream corn had just the right amount of spice to give it a nice kick without overpowering the dish. The bartender mentioned she was newer, but you never would have guessed it. She was friendly, attentive, and did a fantastic job. Great food and great service—I’ll definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I wanted to celebrate pre-fourth of July without the barbecue and have lived down the street from this place for 6 years yet never tried it. Man, unbelievably delicious side items and pork ribs to die for and we even live next door to Barlando. This place tops off every local barbecue place in La Mesa.

the feeling after eating here over a dozen times, is we are going to take a break. I said that last time... combo meat plate couldn't feed a child. the last 3 times I got the dino rib, it got less and less delicious. I went for 40 dollar pork ribs instead, it was like eating a boney fish cartilage heavy . Can you really justify asking 20÷ percent for tip and card service charges. #COOK FROMHOME

The place has a whimsical but historic and welcoming atmosphere. There is a full bar and outdoor seating too. I visited for an early lunch and there was no wait. The service was quick and friendly, the brisket tender and delicious. Took home a meatloaf sandwich too. Will definitely be back.
