Went with my husband for drinks & dinner at Alter Ego. We made a reservation for soon after opening and arrived early yet were seated anyway. We had the place to ourselves for about 15 minutes and even when we left it wasn’t very noisy beyond the great music playing so we were still able to chat throughout. Ordered delicious cocktails and quite a few equally delicious bites. My favorite was probably the bao but I was also pleasantly surprised at the takoyaki, as usually the octopus pieces are too big and that texture takes away from my enjoyment; this was not the case at all here! I ordered a second cocktail which was out of stock but the bartender asked my preferences then offered to make me something off-menu, and to even make something else if I didn’t like his first attempt. But he nailed it! Last note is that the dessert is pretty small but given all the food we had ordered and eaten, it was perfectly split between my husband and I without either one of us feeling overly full upon leaving. All in all, loved this spot and hope to be back!!

This review is for Alter Ego! Had a great time catching up with friends here. The cocktails at this speakeasy are creative and taste great. It was definitely quieter here than at Still OG just outside, which I appreciated because it was a great place to chat. Make sure to get a reservation because they get booked out and it's not a huge space. The drinks are expensive so it's not a weekly type of thing for me, but fun for a special occasion or date night. The surprise standout was actually the milk bread which came out hot with salty butter 👌🏼

Still O.G. & Alter Ego Cocktail Club has a really fun dual-concept setup. The front space has this funky, artsy cocktail bar energy while the back lounge feels darker, moodier, and more classic. There’s even a small DJ setup that keeps the vibe lively without making the place feel overwhelming. The crowd was super eclectic and honestly made people-watching part of the experience. I personally enjoyed the cocktails from the back lounge much more than the front bar, they felt more balanced and better executed overall. The Old Silk Road & Easy Tiger are really good cocktails. Definitely a cool late-night spot if you want somewhere social, energetic, and a little different from the typical lounge scene.

Absolutely LOVED this place! Ray was the BEST! Glad we got to meet him before he transitions to his next opportunity. The atmosphere was fantastic; the drinks were top tier & the service was FANTASTIC! 1000% recommend

This review is long overdue since I've been here multiple times since last year. It's best to make reservations but we've also gotten lucky and have been able to walk in when its earlier in the evening. Alter Ego is the speakeasy bar in the back. Previously, I've only tried the drinks and some of the food. This time around, we tried the food that was recommended by the bartenders and chef. Omg...why haven't we tried the other food before?! We've had the smash burger multiple times from Still OG and it's still one of our favorites. This time, we tried the bread and butter, the passard egg, and potato pave. THE MILK BREAD. Made daily in house and it was so freaking good. I devoured the bread with the butter. Passard egg had such a good flavor profile that went well together. Now the potato pave... was like a huge, crispy French fry with a delicious sauce. I want more of this as I am writing this review. Now for the drinks, I love the tequila based drinks here. Naked and famous is my favorite for the mezcal drink. I tried 2 new ones based on what I told our bartender, Fernando. Another mezcal drink that was good was Last Word. For a spicier drink, the escape artist was amazing. S
