The rolls were all fantastic. Highly recommend The Wedge, Manila Dune and Ewa, and the garlic edamame starter. Everything tasted fresh and they provided additional ginger wasabi for us. We first visited their original location in Honolulu (that got us hooked) and although this location doesn't quite have the ambience and aesthetics of the Hawaii location, the sushis more than made up for it. Highly recommended and will come back again.

This restaurant is 100% the best sushi place I have ever eaten at as a vegetarian. We ordered the gyoza dumplings, very juicy and soft. I liked the complimentary soy sauce, wasabi, and the pickled vegetable. For the sushi, we ordered the California and Sweet Potato roll which were generally good. We decided to order the specialty roll "The Wedge". The Wedge was very delicious and I loved how creative this sushi was. We ended with the Philadelphia roll and shiitake Maki were also good, and I liked the smoked tofu inside the Philadelphia roll.

My wife, sister in law, and I were mad hungry and we searched for several restaurants. After a long hunt, we finally found this vegan sushi place upon which we realized that we had been to a different location prior. We were excited as we enjoyed our last visit. The service was great throughout the whole evening despite being extremely busy and the chefs were welcoming. Here’s what we ordered: Karaage: we all loved it! Texture and taste were on point and paired well with the aioli sauces. The Wedge: this is our favorite roll hands down! All the flavors come together real well. It was not oily at all and not too spicy which we appreciated. Waimanalo: definitely a unique dish that I enjoyed. Combination of pickled mango, tomato, and seaweed pearls is quite the combo that I believe fit my palate. Monterey: this was my wife’s favorite dish. The marinated king oyster was on point and the torched spicy aioli made the dish. Overall, this vegan sushi restaurant is super creative and I would highly encourage all sushi lovers to expand their horizon.

I had such an amazing experience at this vegan restaurant! From the moment we arrived, the service was incredibleβ€”friendly, attentive, and everything was timed perfectly. We had a reservation and were seated right away, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. This was actually my first time trying a fully vegan restaurant, and I was honestly so impressed. Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented and full of flavor. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the taste and the details. I highly recommend the wedge roll and the roasted beet saladβ€”both were absolutely delicious and stood out the most for me. Overall, everything tasted wonderful, the atmosphere was great, and the service truly made the experience even better. I will definitely be coming back!

I had such a magical experience at Tane Vegan Izakaya in Highland Park. I first experienced Tane in Hawaii a few years ago, and it left such a strong impression on me. So when I heard they opened their Los Angeles location, I knew I had to come see if the experience would translate here β€” and honestly it might be even better. The sushi here is incredibly thoughtful and beautifully crafted. I tried the Pacifica roll, the Ewa roll, and the Baker roll, and each one had its own unique flavor profile. The Pacifica was a strong start with crispy eggplant, sweet soy, garlic aioli, and lemon that created a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and just a little heat. The Ewa roll was bright and elegant. The enoki tempura, smoked beet aioli, and lemon created a beautiful balance that made every bite feel layered and fresh. But the Baker roll really blew me away. The seared eggplant, tempura asparagus, burdock root, and gochujang aioli made it bold, rich, and incredibly satisfying. You also absolutely cannot skip the karaage β€” the potato-crusted marinated soy cutlets with spicy garlic aioli are dangerously good. I also tried the mango nigiri, tomato nigiri, and the agedashi tofu, and every
