For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, how long is the wait at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. American restaurants typically run lunch and dinner services with a quieter stretch in between, coffee shops open early, and many kitchens close earlier on Sunday. Cards and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere, a tip of 15-20% is customary for table service, and sales tax is added at the register.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 10 amβ10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (858) 737-4292. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is the-alley.us, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 92 reviews, which is a strong result for a bubble tea in San Diego and suggests consistent service.
San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Diego is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

BEST MILK TEA I HAVE EVER HAD. this is my favorite place and Iβm so excited they opened this location. I lived in Honolulu for a couple years and it was my favorite milk tea on all of the Hawaiian islands. By far. But I saw they opened one here in San Diego. It was a dream come true. And they did not disappoint. Customer service is also amazing on top of the wide variety of options on the menu, and it taste like theyβve mastered everything. So happy!!!

I'm so confused because this place should not be this good or affordable for a boba in this economy lol When I went it had A+ boba texture l, the tea was well brewed, basically a virtual stamp card and it was $6 with getting an premium topping. They have plenty of parking, good wifi, comfy plentiful seating, friendly staff, outlets, and music that isn't too loud or obnoxious. A perfect place to study!! I got a jasmine green tea 50% sweet, 50% ice with brown sugar boba. The brown sugar boba the pearls are actually simmered in the brown sugar, the way it should be like in Taiwan! And the flavor did penetrate unlike other places. Wonderful drink and only nitpick is that it was still a lot of ice! 9.8/10 This is the 3rd Alley location I've been to including the Mira Mesa one and this immediately puts it in the top 3 boba places in San Diego for me. Hopefully their quality and texture is consistent!

Stopped in for a quick boba drink while I was in the area. It was in the middle of the afternoon and the place was dead. The girl who was working there was very nice and my drink came out quicker than expected. It was good. Bobas were soft and chewy.

This boba tea shop may not be quite the same as the ones Iβve had in Japan or Korea, but it was still very good and enjoyable. I ordered a milk tea with brown sugar boba and asked for less sugar, which was a great choiceβthe balance of sweetness was just right. The boba had a nice chewy texture, and the drink was smooth and satisfying. On top of that, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made the overall experience even better.
