It's a great experience. I wouldn't recommend staying more than 2 or 3 night max though. There is no climate control in the rooms. So no AC/heat. We only had ONE plugin that worked. So we had to rotate charging electronics on one plug. Keep your window open at all times to keep air circulation in your room. The restaurants are for rich people with $300 wine bottles that you can get cheaper at the grocery store. There is no housekeeping that we seen. So you have to ask for more towels at the desk. Its very vintage and they try to keep the old feel. So keep that in mind

It was great staying on this art deco ship with many nooks and crannies to explore. We had a really great meal at the Chowder House on board, and a fantastic Sunday Brunch totally worth its high price. But our Portside Deluxe King was disappointing considering the price. On the plus side, it was very roomy, had two portholes for light, and had maintained many of the original finishes and built-in cabinetry such as a chest of drawers with a cute pull-out desk top. But the sconce lighting in the room was dim and depressing; bulbs had burned out and were not replaced when we asked. The bed and linens, though not uncomfortable, were not of the quality you'd expect for $400+ a night. There was no coffee maker or any glassware besides a stack of plastic cups, and it's a long walk down the hall and up the stairs to get to the cafe for tea in the morning. The only toiletry items not screwed to the wall were a wrapped bar of soap and two disinfectant wipes which gave the room an institutional feel. The small bathroom is so dimly lit you can't do hair or makeup in there. It desperately needs a refresh. There's a dreary tub-shower, an old-timey sink with no counter, and a newish toilet cob

The rooms are small, but that's to be expected. The only issue I had is that the mattress could have been a bit more comfortable. The staff is amazing, the experience is truly worth doing, and the food is mind blowing. I strongly encourage everyone to try it out and to at least spend one night. I'll most certainly be returning.

On Monday, I visited the Queen Mary with my daughter and Grandaughter. I had stayed there before for the night in the 90s. We chose the haunted tour. It was $160 for the three of us. We were expecting a lot more from the tour. it was very flat and not worth $160 to be honest you can’t go into the pool where the little girl has been seen because it’s being renovated nor the boiler room it was just walking through the hallways and seeing old parts of the ship when people choose to do the haunted tour they want to see the actual areas where there might be activity also Even though people are nice, I think if you Are a tour guide you should be drawing people in within enthusiasm and talking about the spirit activity and making jokes there was not enough of that going on during the tour. It was flat. I do love the ship it’s beautiful, but I am sad that I spent $160 on it it was a complete waste and I would recommend to others not to spend the money on the tour because you definitely do not get your moneys worth also, I should add even though it was 80° in Long Beach. We had a great time visiting the Queen Mary! My family and I did the Ghost Tour, and it was a fun and memorable experience. The tour guides did a great job sharing the ship's history along with the ghost stories, making it entertaining from start to finish. Whether you believe in the paranormal or just enjoy learning about historic places, it's definitely worth checking out. We all had a great time and would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique family outing.
