For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, how long is the wait at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. American restaurants typically run lunch and dinner services with a quieter stretch in between, coffee shops open early, and many kitchens close earlier on Sunday. Cards and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere, a tip of 15-20% is customary for table service, and sales tax is added at the register.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8 pmβ2 am. Note that it does not open on Monday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. More information is available on its website, theritzsanjose.com.
Its Google rating is 3.6 out of 5 from 333 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
San Jose is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Traffic in San Jose peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I use to go here a lot 10 years ago and I recently went back and wow this place has tanked. Security is rude as hell. Not to me personally but to so many others who were just trying to get in and who werent causing issues. Seceritys on a power trip. Drinks were mid and overpriced and barrenders have zero patience. It was also a lot dirtier. I don't expect bars to be clean and it wasn't really clean 10 years ago but this is a whole diffrent level.

I've seen some great bands here over the years and never had a bad experience. Also gotta say I love having a venue of this size right here in downtown on top of it being a cool venue. It's got a cool layout with the little pit area in front of the stage, parking has never been a problem; you've got event center parking right down the street but you can find street parking if you really want. Only ever get beer if anything so I can't comment on food or mixed drinks, but it's never struck me as overpriced and never had any issue with staff. Really starting to love this venue more over the years. If you see an artist coming around here that you'd like to see, definitely recommend.

Good sound. Good staff. Liked the shape and size of venue. But the bathrooms really sucked. I saw a packed concert here tonight and it was very difficult to get to the facilities, as they are located to the right side of the stage. Once inside they were also very strangely dark and ominous. Didn't make me have a bad time. But very unpleasant while I was in there. I assume its not so bad on dancing nights. But for a popular show it was pretty rough. Again though great floorplan otherwise and nice bars with cool staff. Good sound for the music as well.

Went there to see a show and had a great time. There are 2 bars, a coat check and the floor is split into two levels. They have a good sound system and the people on the mixing board did a great job. The restrooms are located in a little hall that's to the right of the stage, just down the ramp.

My friends and I went to see System of a Clown (SOAC) last night at The Ritz, and they put on a great performance. They played a lot of awesome System of a Down songs and mixed in short mini-songs from other artists, which kept things fun and interesting. The crowd was energetic and in a great moodβthe mosh pit was swirling like a tornado, but thankfully there were no fights. The opening band, El Guapo, did a decent job warming up the crowd for SOAC. Their set was all instrumental, with some backing tracks for vocals and sound effects. Personally, I prefer live vocals, but they still delivered a solid performance. My only real complaint was about the bar. We ordered Long Island Iced Teas, but they were served in small plastic cups. These drinks are usually served in a Collins glass or at least a tall plastic cup, so that was a bit disappointing. Overall, though, it was a fun night of great music and good vibes.
