The Venice Beach Hostil was perfect location for swimmer enthusiasts! About 30 minutes to hike to the beach or if You rent a bicycle! Several buses to get around if you exhausted yourself swimming and hiking! The bed was very comfortable! The Hostil members are very friendly I would say it is the perfect home away from home!

Extremely creepy ! I went there late and there was a sign in the door saying that I had to do a 10 minute walk into a HOUSE to check in …. I did it (everything empty and dark ) and arrived to a house with homeless people outside in tents … completely dark and some random people in the house playing video games opened the door and said that I was late and I had to pay 15$ IT WAS A RANDOM HOUSE … 0 professionalism… I felt very uncomfortable and scared … they told me to wait end to come in the house … I did and everybody seemed off … nobody gave me any attention- they were playing video games. My gut feeling told me to LEAVE immediately… and I did …. This is weird and creepy

Brilliant hostel visited from the UK and couldn't recommend more. Staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful. Our flight was at 20.30 and they let us keep our stuff safe until evening while we explored on our last day. It's not too far from the beach and there's some amazing bars nearby. Would definitely love to return.

Stayed here on a solo vacation and had a great time! Everyone who works there is very nice and personable, and Ian was a great help getting me situated with the area! The dormitory rooms are what one would expect from a hostel, but for 30 dollars a night, it's more than enough! Bathroom was clean, kitchen was well stocked with the necessities, and they came around every day to tidy up! The location is great near Venice Beach as well as numerous cafes and restaurants! I would stay here again when I'm in LA again!
