We feel so grateful to have Dr. Winston Lai as our doctor. He listens with genuine care, speaks with kindness, and always makes you feel truly seen. I’ll never forget the time he noticed something I hadn’t even mentioned and handled it with such patience, it touched me deeply. Olga, his Medical Assistant, is equally wonderful. She is always warm, attentive and so helpful, making each call and visit feel smooth, comfortable, and reassuring. Being cared for by this team is truly a gift. Their compassion, attention, and thoughtfulness go beyond medical care, they make you feel valued and supported. I am so grateful for Dr. Lai and Olga and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for not just a skilled doctor, but a doctor and team who genuinely care.

I agree that Dr. Lai is a good, attentive physician, who seems to genuinely.care for his patients. However, his office staff leave a great deal to be desired. They often fail to respond to email and telephone communication and it seems that I have to remind them at least twice to follow thru on one thing or another.

I had a great experience with Dr. Lai; however, the inefficiency and miscommunication from the office staff were significant drawbacks. MISCOMMUNICATION #1: When I went to Quest for a blood test, the technician asked if I was supposed to be fasting. There were no notes indicating that I needed to fast, but given the number of tests, it seemed likely. I decided not to get my blood drawn that day and called Dr. Lai’s office to confirm. They said I did need to fast! It's frustrating that I wasn't informed beforehand and that the information wasn't relayed to Quest. INEFFICIENCY: I needed my wellness exam results emailed to me and called the office multiple times, experiencing long wait times each time. Each time I spoke with someone, I was given a different excuse for the delay. On my last call, they mentioned the person responsible for sending the results was out of the office until Thursday. They promised to find someone else to send them, which I appreciated, but even with this new person, the results weren't sent, and I had to follow up yet again. Finally, they informed me that "Dr. Lai has not reviewed your results, so we can't send them out to you." I wish this had been commun

Yesterday, my husband and I had our first appointment with Dr. Winston Lai. As they say, first impressions last. The medical office is clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing. The care we received from Dr. Lai was exceptional. He listened thoroughly and attentively to our concerns and went above and beyond to help us find the right referrals and laboratory tests. His entire team, including Perla at the front desk and Olga, the medical assistant at the clinic, displayed a high level of professionalism and made us feel comfortable throughout our visit. It is worth traveling from Long Beach to Wilshire Blvd to have such an excellent doctor.
