I recently checked out Amante Italian Restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles, and overall it was a really enjoyable experience. The first thing I noticed walking in was the atmosphere. The place has a warm, cozy Italian vibe that makes it feel like a nice spot to relax and enjoy a meal rather than just rushing in and out. It’s definitely a good place for a date night or dinner with friends if you're in the DTLA area. As for the food, the flavors were solid and tasted fresh. The pasta had that homemade feel you want when you go to an Italian restaurant, and the sauce was rich without being overwhelming. Everything tasted well balanced and comforting — the kind of meal that feels satisfying without being overly heavy. The service was friendly and welcoming. The staff made us feel comfortable and were attentive throughout the meal. Like most places in downtown, it can get a little busy, but overall the experience was positive. One thing to keep in mind is parking in Downtown LA, which can always be a challenge depending on the time of day. But once you're inside the restaurant, the environment makes it worth the effort. Overall, Amante is a great spot if you're craving classic Italia

Let me start by saying I live up the street from this location and usually order my food to go with no issues. However, today I decided to dine in, and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. I’m also a diabetic and waited to to eat here just for dinner We waited about 15 minutes to be seated, which wasn’t a big deal. But after sitting down, we waited another 20 minutes just to have our order taken. Then it took an hour and a half for our food to come out. When we asked our waiter how much longer it would be, we were told there were four tables ahead of us and that we would need to wait another 15 minutes. In total, it took about two hours to receive our food. They never check on us ask if we need anything I guess we not as important as the other guest. Server was Lewis The food itself was good, but the service was extremely disappointing. No updates, no sense of urgency, and we weren’t even offered bread or anything while we waited. Overall, it was a horrible dining experience. I will not be returning to eat here again.

The foods good and pricing is decent, $40 for a non meat pasta and a white wine. I don’t think it’s bad but for me 3/5 is average and this place is average. If you are in the area stop in and try it, but don’t drive out of your way to eat here type of place.

A great choice for a downtown Los Angeles Italian meal. Food was excellent and service was stellar. My only suggestion is to acquire a hard liquor license so guest are not limited to wine and beer. Other than that, it was tasty and spectacular. I totally recommend. Thank you Amante.
