Getting around Los Angeles is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Free museum ( which is great) . When i went parking was closed so i had to park around it and walk a little no big deal . It was 15$ for parking. The museum is faily small . I went for the 90s fashion event and while the clothes brought looked amazing you can go through the whole thing in less than 30 min . I wouldnt do a special trip just for this . Everything was labeled clearly , the clothes were nicely display and looked beautiful. Security guard was nice and let us know photos would be allow without flash . I wish they had brought more clothes . The one display werent the most famous ones from those designer either .it was ok nothing mind blowing .

Small museum can be seen 30 minutes or less. Free to get in. Parking $10 underground. I parked at a meter right in front. Staff was pretty chill. If you into fashion I would say check it out if you in the area. The museum is only open when they have an exhibit and the change. Check the website. 1 restroom clean.

Perfectly curated display of '90s fashion. Saw my favorite designers and models. Although I didn't see any pix of Naomi Campbell but one super small photo.. great Job FIDM! Bring back your store.

First time visiting and I was pleasantly pleased. While yes the place is very small, the pieces in this museum were beautiful and intriguing. I felt safe and comfortable while parking in their secured structure as well! The main thing I appreciated at this museum was the park outside! I didn’t expect to encounter such a peaceful place just outside the museum πŸ₯° As a past resident of DTLA, I felt safe and relaxed as I enjoyed the sun on the grass. I read my Bible devotional after visiting the gallery and it was the perfect afternoon. There is a little cafe where you can buy coffee or snacks nearby. The server was so friendly and funny! I can’t wait to be back

Small gallery attached to and run by FIDM - the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise. Though the space is small (only large enough for one exhibit at a time) it’s a great place to stop for any fan of fashion. Being in LA, rotating exhibits often include costumes from tv & film, but there are also showcases from the FIDM fashion archives. Entry is free, and the location is accessible both by public transportation (bus stop directly outside) and car (parking garage underneath the campus).

It was really beautiful, small decent place for my residents (I work for an assisted living facility) to walk along with plenty of space for their walkers. Tricky parking, though. Entrance was FREE! But donations welcomed, by the door.

What a wonderful surprise to discover such a magnificent display of Costumes incl Games of Thrones! I couldn't stop oohing and ahhing the entire visit! Not only is it free to attend, but the welcome table at the main entrance full of fresh lemonade, popcorn, red vines, and chocolates was a marvelous touch! Def the highlight of my day!

The FIDM Museum has two big exhibits a year: one for the Oscars and one for the Emmys. The museum is pretty small but if you're in the area I highly recommend checking both exhibits out! I am not a movie buff and I barely watch television but I enjoy seeing the artistry of the garments. The museum has a small gift shop but they have some pretty neat stuff there and sometimes have discounts on certain things. The is no parking structure but I've been there a few times on the weekends and have found metered parking nearby.
