Great Service is KEY !!! 4 months ago

Me and my mother came here last Thursday. Her appointment was at 3:40 or 3:50pm. We arrived like 10 minutes prior and still ended up leaving after their closing hour. I felt awkward being in the lobby since staff was clearly exiting for the day and saying their goodbyes and I was the only person still sitting in the lobby waiting for my mother to be done. I called her only to find out the doctor hadn't even seen her yet. I thought they were doing surgery, for as long as she was taking. Then the "doctor" comes in, Myles Brookman, and tells me to come hang out. He starts asking me questions that I don't know why he couldn't just ask my mother. See, I didn't mind answering, but he wouldn't let me finish what I was saying. He was checking her eyes and saying what he saw as I was answering his questions. It felt like he wasn't even listening to what I was telling him about my mother's condition. She was referred there from another Long Beach location and her condition is diabetic-related, according to paperwork I read from a Downey facility. I don't know if we should have brought that paperwork in with us because Myles was acting like he didn't know what was wrong with her and referred

On 04/15/26, I arrived at Myles Brookman, M.D. 2:45Pm for 3:00PM and approx. 3:40PM I was called into a room for initial check up for eye pressure, and reading vision test. Then I was told to wait in another waiting room located in the back area in the office for another hour and 25 minutes. I expressed my aggravation to the office assistant about the long waiting period and she explained the waiting period was the standard and that All patients received written notice to expect the extended waiting periods. This a false statement because I never received a notice or advised verbally about long waiting periods. I had cataract surgery on 04/07/26 at 2600 Redondo Ave., Suite 203 / Long Beach, Ca 90806. My appt was scheduled 10:15 AM, and I arrived 9:45AM and I was called to the rear 11:25AM and rolled into surgery just after 12:05PM. . . . The surgery was completed by 12:30. I was discharged by 1:10PM My complaint is that the facility is overbooking patiences and causing long unnecessary waiting periods.
