Remember The Automat? Of course you don’t, you’re too young and you’re not from NYC. Google it. Picnic is like the 2026 version of the Automat with robotic doors that open the food lockers to reveal your order. There’s really nothing to complain about this place. Mostly DoorDash driver types picking up orders so the parking lot can get crowded but it’s ok, everything moves fast. They’re quick, easy to order, and provide restrooms for whomever needs them. The food we got (Ben’s Fast Food) was excellent and inexpensive! Chickpea and potato bowls - all plant-based and very good. Very reasonably priced and plenty of food! We will be back, Ben!

Ordered a salad from them on Doordash today and loved it! Really good quality, I could tell the ingredients were fresh and the mix was just very tasty. I can never keep up with my nutrition intake because salads don’t always taste so good but this one was amazing! I’ll probably try more of their salads, go beyond the chickpea potato and maybe just have salads for lunch everyday!

oh my god, this food made my entire day. i ordered this off of doordash, looking for something healthy and tasty. i didn’t have my hopes up as i have been catfished by food before— but this? this you GOTTA try. the chicken was EXCEPTIONAL, juicy, flavorful, i couldn’t get enough. the salad was fresh and the dressing was delicious!! the dark chocolate pudding was yummy too. the best part? it’s all so intentional and sweet. they wrote “thank you janie” and the card they give with the food is so so so thoughtful and a pisces i love it!!! AND IT WAS AFFORDABLE!!!!!!! yall have a customer for life!!!!!!! p.s. i’m new to the san jose area and this is such a gem to find thank you than you thank you. 🙏🏼

I ordered food online for pickup. Website was easy to navigate. Walked in opened my locker and picked up my food in two minutes. There is just a lobby to order and pick up. Atmosphere is not relevant. No longer Ben’s Fast Food

The food was amazing! Great flavor and great sauces! As a first time visitor, I was a little confused at the pickup location as I didn’t know how to get IN and the whole concept of the digital locker delivery! After a short pause to actually read the messages on my phone and find my locker, I was like … this is cool!! Love the high tech. Good healthy food and a unique delivery system!
