Before amazon, I would have given Best Buy five stars because their selection of products were great and the customer service was was excellent. Today the products are good but their customer service is horrible. There was a kid to help me out finding a gaming keyboard and he looked bored as can be. He was unprofessional, unhelpful and terribly rude. The woman at the checkout was very similar, neither of the two smiled or greeted me, they refused to make eye contact. If this is the level of professionalism that Best Buy is now going to put forward, I will not come back!

I'm usually the type of person who buys everything online or on Amazon because it's just easier. About a year and a half ago, I stopped by Best Buy Mission Valley just to look at TVs before finding the best deal online. Instead, I found the TV I wanted, received great service, and decided to purchase in-store and buy the Best Buy Protection plan for my $4,500+ TV. Fast forward 18 months, and the screen developed some unusual wear. It didn't affect the picture, but it was noticeable on dark scenes. I figured I'd see what Best Buy had to say. From start to finish, the experience was incredible: Justin in Geek Squad genuinely cared about helping me and made the process easy. Carla, the Geek Squad technician, was knowledgeable, professional, and confirmed the issue was covered. Within hours, my claim was approved. I then worked with Stephen from the Audio/Video team, who went above and beyond to find the replacement TV I wanted, even though it wasn't in stock. Ryan, the Assistant Store Manager, also took the time to answer my questions and made sure everything was taken care of. Great teams are built from the top, down and it shows. In the end, I received the newer model of my T

I went into the Best Buy in Mission Valley on my lunch break to replace a screen protector, and on my way out I spotted a Pokémon booster box hidden behind some sports card boxes. I waited in line and asked to purchase it, but another employee stopped the transaction and told the employee helping me that Best Buy “couldn’t sell it.” First I was told it was a customer order, then I was told the system wouldn’t let them scan it. After that, the employee took the box into the office behind the registers. If it was truly a customer order, why wasn’t it being held at customer service or where is the sticker with the label? And why was it hidden behind other products in the first place? Pokémon products are already difficult enough to find, and situations like this make it feel like employees are holding items back instead of making them available to customers. Unfortunately, this isn’t my first bad experience with Pokémon products at this location. I don’t recommend this Best Buy.

They offer app based delivery now. Which is great! Saves a trip to the store. Driver will txt or call if any of the items are out of stuck and offer alternative suitable substitute. Order arrives on time and neatly packaged. So far so good.
