Jessica is the pearl and the prize of this Logan Heights barbershop, and anyone who books with her is in very good hands. Her tagline, “Your skin is my business,” could not be more fitting. As the only female in the shop, she brings such a special balance to the space. She works with both men and women and is a fundamental part of what makes the business feel welcoming, professional, and complete. She is calm, gentle, and strong all at once. She is private but friendly, kind but not soft, organized but still flexible and accommodating. You can tell she takes her work seriously and truly cares about every client who sits in her chair. Her space is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up with a dark, elegant aesthetic tucked perfectly into the old-money pirate barbershop theme of Black Pearl. It feels private, polished, and unique. You can tell she is a seasoned esthetician who knows exactly what she is doing, but she still takes the time to customize every service to each client. Been coming to this barbershop for nearly a year now. Shoutout to Jesus who always makes my hair ideas come to life, and also gives me great suggestions. Overall a relaxing barbershop with a great environment. As soon as you walk in all the barbers make you feel welcome & are ready to get you looking right. Isaac at Black Pearl Barbershop has been my goto barber for years. He is a true master at his craft. I am very picky/specific with my haircut and he always gives me exactly what I ask for.
