Had a poor experience here. Not coming back. The old gentleman who cut my hair and trimmed my beard was cold and rude throughout the haircut. He was in a hurry and hurt my neck so bad I still have a rash (I do have pictures). When I checked my beard and showed him that he left patches of hair, he just mentioned it's 30 more bucks for a shave as he fixed it. Daniel, you have to understand that hair cutting business is a hospitality business. Instead of making me have a bad day, you could have even been neutral in your tone and behavior, not been in such a hurry and made it not an unpleasant experience. Wish you guys luck and hope you do better in the future.

I have been getting my haircut by Daniel Tanner at Bolt Barbers for about 10 years now and I have never been disappointed. He is always available and is great at accommodating different hair styles as my tastes have changed. My entire family comes downtown just for the haircut. I often recommend my friends and family to get their haircut here and they always love it.

Disclaimer: I rarely ever leave bad reviews. As a matter of fact, I love helping out businesses with good reviews. Check my reviews history for verification. Where do I start? My two qualms with this place were customer service and the quality of the cut. The customer service from the older white gentlemen who I assume to be the owner and operator of this establishment was nonexistent. He was dimissive, short, and teetering on the bounds of being flat out rude. The haircut itself was incredibly rushed. It felt like he wanted me out of there as soon as I sat down. I asked for a 0 on the sides with a fade and a 6 on top. I got the worst fade of my life for a shocking $50. My younger brother who just started practicing cutting hair in the garage a few months ago does better fades than this. In short, do not recommend. Parking situation is nonexistent and the pricing does not match the quality or customer service rendered here. I wouldn't complain if it costed $15 but for $50 this is daylight robbery. Do better.

Dan Tanner has been my hair stylist/artist for over 10 years. He gives a precision haircut which is a rare skill. We always discuss what I want before he starts cutting and I'm always very satisfied with the results. He's an absolute gem!

Went to Bolt a couple weeks ago, and Daniel Tanner was flawless as always. Engaging in conversation and completely on top of his craft! It's service like that that keeps me coming back to Bolt, where I've literally been going pretty much since they opened. Glad this is one DTLA fixture that's keeping on!
