Located at 700 S Santa Fe Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90021, Bread Lounge operates as a bakery serving Los Angeles in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as cafe, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
For a place to eat or drink, the questions that matter most are simple: is it open now, how long is the wait at peak hours, and does the menu suit the group you are bringing. American restaurants typically run lunch and dinner services with a quieter stretch in between, coffee shops open early, and many kitchens close earlier on Sunday. Cards and tap-to-pay are accepted almost everywhere, a tip of 15-20% is customary for table service, and sales tax is added at the register.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 7 am–5 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Bread Lounge at (213) 327-0782; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, breadlounge.com.
Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 787 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded bakeries, donuts & bagels in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Los Angeles follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I checked the reviews and headed here using Google map, but I was a bit flustered because I couldn't find the entrance at first. Pro tip: there’s a parking lot and outdoor seating located at the back of the building. Once you head in through the back door, you’re greeted by a clean, wooden interior filled with various breads, jams, canned sardines, and olive oils. They have a great selection of fresh bread and pastries on display. Ordered the iced mint lemonade, and unlike other shops, it was served slushie-style with blended mint and ice. It was refreshing! The pastries were also delicious. Can't wait to try their sandwiches on my next visit.

THIS BUSINESS HIDES NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!! First, the pastries in the case were covered with flies. When the staff moved their hands over them, clouds of flies— some fruit flies, some large flies— flew off. It was alarming. Also, everything is overpriced! We paid about $50 for a meal for two— just sandwiches and drinks! It’s a cafe, not a restaurant. There’s no reason the prices should be this high for what you’re getting. The atmosphere was unpleasant for sitting in as well. It’s all concrete and steel inside, so when people move their chairs it gives off an awful screeching sound. It’s also just not inviting or pleasant to stay in for long in my opinion. I’d give this place a pass.

My taste buds are still recovering from the symphony of flavors that is the Parisian sandwich. This place has officially earned the title of my favorite sandwich spot in LA. How do you make a perfect sandwich with just a few ingredients? They’ve cracked the code. If you’re a sandwich lover, this place is an absolute must.

Considering where it's at, how the area smells, and man, does it smell. I was surprised to walk into the halls of this establishment. From outside to inside was like the color transition in the wizard of Oz and smell hits you in the face like an intentional foul in baseball. Everything is baked fresh for the most part, breads are too soft to cut at 7am. Sandwich bread first thing in the morning dissolve in your mouth like a fresh bake croissant. So yes, there desserts do stand apart, and the food with fresh baked anything elevates it. And lastly the service was just awesome - so friendly and patient and kind. If anything, it's a little on the pricey side. But what do you expect during these hard times and asking for freshly baked goods. Parking might be a hassle if you come during rush hour. But highly recommend the area
